We don't know if that is how it happened. For all we know the guy could have threatened to have gun to get people to back off or run away. That would still put him in the wrong for threatening to have a gun though.

Point me to where in the report the witness stated the guy said he was going to get his gun OUT of the truck. For all we know, he was probably warning them not to approach the truck again when he tried to get out of there, which is a legal threat if a person feels threatened themselves

Whoever threatened to use a gun at Shady's should be locked away for a while... THAT PERSON is the person that poses a threat to the Baton Rouge community IMO.

Thats stupid.. LOL.. You getting beat up and you scream "I got a gun". I know it might have just been something that was done in the heat of the moment, but wouldn't that cause someone to continue beating you up? You know, like if they would stop that would allow them to actually pull the gun.

It doesn't appear that the Silverado is rolling when driver is being drug on the ground so, it must've been in park. Also, the driver's side window could have been down.
