Excellent. Never over until it's over but looking excellent. Likely lose Kennedy and Tebrake but keep Shores. Rest tbd. Skenes value also skyrockets for us now.

You can still improve your draft grade and get way more money I would think. If you got be a star in the SEC,let Wes develop you, then with Wes’s MLB connections I would think by not coming to LSU Tebrake is leaving a lot of money on the table. He could be out of baseball entirely within 4 years this stuff is so hard to predict I would want to maximize my chance at more money and set myself up incase I can’t play baseball. But to each their own

Fwiw Ty Floyd’s mom randomly chimed into a tweet discussion I was having with Kylie Mcdaniel about the new draft age eligibility rules and said the plan was for him to return to LSU.

You can’t

He losses a significant amount of guaranteed signing bonus if he were to go to college.

That's awesome.

The new eligibility rule removes the math of figuring out when 45 days from the draft was. Now it's something like if you're 21 by August 1st you're eligible. So they standardized the birthday.

You don't understand the greater need for a starting pitcher with Tebrake likely not coming to campus?

Assuming he means you can now guarentee, no matter what, a weekend spot to Skenes to have him showcase his stuff on a huge stage, instead of fighting with Tebrake, Hurd, Little, Floyd.

With no Tebrake, a spot is open.

The problem is you have no leverage as a 5th year. What are you gonna do, can’t go back to college, gonna pitch in an independent league? You pretty much just have to take whatever garbage they offer you. And it won’t be slot value.

I think Jay’s philosophy for these prospects of “unless you’re a first round pick develop through college” is sticking for the most part

I just want 8 guys throwing 98+ and 8 guys batting 0.400+

Is that really too much to ask?
