Not sure what they do at Alex Box, but I've been to Angel games and Dodger games, and no one is walking around telling people to put their masks on.

Is anyone planning on doing the train from downtown LA (by LA Live) to Old Town Pasadena? Google MAps says it takes an hour+

Yep. It's the only way I ever go to the Rose Bowl because of the horrible traffic. If you've never done it before, I'd posted this on this board a couple of weeks ago.....

quote:

From Union Station near downtown L.A..............

Take the Gold line (metrorail) to the Memorial Park station in Pasadena, and get off there. Walk about two blocks to the free shuttle area for the Rose Bowl. Board the shuttle and it literally lets you off RIGHT IN FRONT of the Rose Bowl.

If you decide to drive to Union Station, park at their underground lot for $8 for the WHOLE DAY, and catch the Gold line from the station upstairs. If you drive to the game, parking will be well over $50 AND the traffic is NIGHTMARISH.

Here's a link explaining how to get to the Rose Bowl game, but the procedure is the EXACT SAME for a UCLA home game. Hope this helps!

Getting to the Rose Bowl on Gameday

By the way, the fare for Metro Rail is $1.75 One way, and $3.50 round trip. Only a fool would drive to this game.

It depended on what section you were sitting at The Box. In some, the mask enforcers were walking up and down the aisles telling people to put on their masks. In other sections, the marshals did not care.

Dodgers say they are enforcing masks as of today, will be interesting to see what the enforcement looks like on tv

How many LSU faithful in sections 2, 3 and 4?

Trying to avoid as many SoCal mask aficionados as possible.

I tried buying tickets for the Alumni tailgate at Brookside Golf Club. But it keeps saying "You're trying to buy more tickets than available." I tried buying one and it still said that.

Does this mean it is sold out and they just haven't updated the website?

Anyone having issues buying these tickets?

Thanks.

Tailgating question: I've seen a few people talk about pregame in Old Town Pasadena.

Are there any designated LSU bars there? Also, what is the tailgate situation at the Rose Bowl?

I'm from Nola...I've lived in SoCal for 35 years. I've been to exactly 1 USC game and 0 UCLA games. In that same time I've been to more than 50 LSU games at Tiger Stadium:)

Guess it’s not being enforced. Some clowns wearing. Most not.

No official LSU bars in Pasadena. Tailgating at the Rose Bowl is one of the best experiences of college football. The parking lot is a golf course. You are on grass. 100 year old oak trees everywhere. Definitely worth it. Except getting out after the game is a nightmare if you wait too long. I literally jog to my car after the game to beat the crowd.

See you there.

Yeah I watched the highlights and it looked spotty at best, with even less people wearing them in the outfield
