Actually people WITH tickets probably would think its asinine to clog up the entrance to the Dome with so many LSU fans in town without tickets.

If I had tickets and could not get into the game on time because of the huge crowd outside the game..I would be PISSED!

It's a good decision by whomever made it IMO.

I think we're doing the Sheraton as well..this is what they had to say....

Seating is assigned based on the order the reservations are made. The party will take place in three different areas of our hotel. They are the Pelican Bar, Roux Bistro, and the Rhythms Ballroom. The Pelican Bar is located in the lobby and Roux Bistro and the Rhythms Ballroom are both located on the second floor. We will assign the seats in the Pelican Bar first, then Roux Bistro, then the Rhythms Ballroom. Each area will have the same food and beverages available. There will also be several large LCD TVs in each area to ensure that everyone has a great view of the game.

I’m inclined to say that there will be more LSU fans than Bama, but no one is excluded from buying tickets, so you never know.

Wow. Beccafries 100% has a vested interest in the Sheraton party. I thought it on here and that's cool and wasn't going to say anything, but then you advertised it on tidefans.com LINK

Ridiculous.

edit : or she's a gump. but she only had that 1 post on tidefans... Gump that works at Sheraton. Final answer.

I'm coming in without tickets as well. I'd like to watch the game in Baton Rouge if possible. I assumed there would be a watch party on campus, but not sure.

I agree --- a good mix of Tide and LSU fans, both cheering and getting excited will make the atmosphere all that much better.

I've been in the Quarter for both BCS NC games and our Sugar Bowls. Bourbon St. is the place to be if you can get in a private party. Can't wait for after the game when we win.

Marriott accross the street projects the game in the lobby with flat screens in the restaurant. $20 tailgate buffet with beer specials. That's where we will be watching raising hell @ the GUMPS hotel

Official watching parties at the link below -- bars mostly suck tho

LINK

Also Dodie's cajun bar/grill and Stan's Blue Note (owner roots for LSU), both on Greenville, are other options that always have a good crowd.

Other places: Frankie's, Christie's, McKinney Avenue Tavern (MAT) in Uptown on McKinney
