Let's hope Canada works out, lord knows there won't be any offensive input from 0.

I don't get the negativity. I think this is a great OC hire. Good, flexible Xs and Os guy who can inspire kids. Given the other options available right now, I'm very happy and look forward to seeing whether Canada and the O fulfill their potential.

There is no reason to be negative. Best coordinator we've had since Jimbo, and he may be better.
Another note, don't underestimate the role playing against Alabama had his decision. If you champion yourself an offensive guru, what better challenge than to get a yearly shot at dethroning footballs best defense (by a mile).

Background: Born and raised in BR, graduated from LSU and have been to too many games to count, but now live in Pittsburgh. MBA from Pitt and wife a life long season ticket holder in Pitt basketball and football.
Pather Fan: I am a bit conflicted as I think that Narduzzi has the Panthers headign in the right direction and this is a speed bump in that process. None of my fellow Panther fans are happy about this, so that's some indication.
For the Tigers:
1) Canada will have LSU scoring.
2) @ Pitt, Narduzzi is a defensive guy still trying to get his type of player recruited and playing - so he more/less left the O up to Canada. I expect Orgeron to do something similar to that.
3) Canada is used to having a great back at Wisconsin and here at Pitt. With all of the backs that LSU gets year after year, that's a perfect fit.
4) Peterman (Grad transfer from Tenn) was not known as a top recruit, but I think Canada did pretty well with him.
5) Overall, Pitt has avg to below avg talent and Canada had the offense to knock down two top 5 schools in PSU and Clemson. Imagine what he can do with LSU's talent ...
6) Unfortunately due to his moving between schools often, his recruiting skills are a bit unknown.

We have an OC who will pair up nicely with Aranda to give the LSU Tigers a real chance to play for a natty. Soon.

Not my favorite but glad it got done. The hires are never my favorite, so nothing new
at least you are honest.
the fact is that many, many LSU fans hate our coaches now (except Aranda) and will continue to hate our coaches. they will deny it but Saban was hated by a lot of our fans until he won the Natty and he then took his foot off the gas and left for the NFL. then he was idolized.
I have been a fan since the 60's (class of '72) and the only coaches that LSU fans didn't hate or even despise were chollie mac (for awhile), bill arnsbarger (didn't stay long enough to hate and he stabilized the program), saban after the NC and miles for his first 6 or 7 years (although some hated him then). imo, it is tradition for many LSU fans to hate their coaches (name the sport). the HC gets blamed for EVERY PLAY that doesn't work and gets vilified (even personally) for every loss or near loss.
the young set seems to not only have inherited this "trait" but bring it to new levels of vitriol.
