It's going to come down to if Brice wants to bet on himself and go to college for 3 years develop get bigger stronger become a better player and maybe be a top 5 selection like Bregs, or take the money and play now at Milwaukee. This is a tougher decision for him than most people think as this kid really wants to go to college.

I know his commitment to LSU is incredibly strong...especially for a California kid with no ties here. He's had his heart set on coming here unless he gets close to top ten pick money but man I don't see how they can't offer him 4 million or very close at this point. You can't walk away from that. He'd have to be a top 5 pick to do much better. That's a lot to risk by walking away from that money. I was hoping but the brewers obviously had a plan and even though they had no deal
In place, they knew they'd get it done. Good for Brice. Best of luck to the young man

Question: It's your son & that kind of money is on the table - what do you tell him? As much as I'd love to see him at the Box & as much as the kid would like to play for us................

See my last post. As I said, you don't walk away from 4 million dollars. I completely understand and agree that you can't blame the young man. I'd absolutely take the money and tell anyone else to do the same.

I think the brewers drafted him thinking they could get him at slot. If they didn’t sign him, they’d take the extra pick next year. They may offer 3.2 or 3.3, but they aren’t signing him for >4M.

Is there a way we could interrupt Communications at the last minute??
Who is the main contact for the Brewers that is talking to Bryce?

Is this serious? Interrupt communications?

Sure, if both sides wait until the last day and you could keep them from communicating and the deal doesn't get signed he has to play college

We need to get our hands on a pinch like from ocean’s 11. It detonates an intense electromagnetic pulse that would black out Milwaukee’s power grid for the last few hours before the signing deadline. Wont be cheap but I know a guy.

What's the plan this summer for Walker, Smith, Labas, Hilliard, and Storz? How many of these are sitting out until fall?

Why? What if they have money? There’s no price on the experience.

Hey, this has nothing to do with what some idiots on this board would do (most don't have a pot to piss in) it's a once in a lifetime shot either way. Take the money now or bet on yourself later and have the experience of a lifetime. The money will be there 3 years from now if Brice doesn't sign now and probably with a better organization. He probably will sign but it ain't over till it's over is all I'm saying.

Let's just wait and let Turang and Brewers negotiate.
I'd be glad if he'd come here and then sign a huge signing contract after his junior year. Let his parents guide him as they see fit.
How about that?

He told me were at about a 10% chance at this point. That's actually good news at this point considering how many players have turned down even a millie and then went undrafted. I'll take this class and 10% on a first rounded anyday! About 20 days to go!!

Who told you? If its Brice that told you that, then we are at a zero percent chance.

Nolan Cain told him that. Nolan and Ford are buddies. He talks to Nolan on a regular basis
