if its in the 50s at the box it will feel like mid 30s and that is definitely cold.

This is why I want to move back home. I'll take mid-30s anytime. Where I live, it was -5 last week with a wind chill of -27.

LSU sweep

Pitcher of the week - Ryan Eades - he dominated early in the year last year

Hitter of the week - Ty Ross - Doesn't have quite the pressure/hype of a Rhymes or Katz yet, but he is ready to have a monster year

First standing ovation - Will Davis when he throws up a stop sign to a runner rounding third base

First truly needed rally pics - 7th inning of Sunday's game - I see LSU controlling the first two games with Maryland being pretty nervous and then a combination of Maryland playing looser and LSU losing focus will lead to a very close game 3 into the last 2-3 innings at which time LSU will finally push across some key runs.

When playing baseball, anything under 50 degrees affects the play of the game. (Grip of ball for pitcher etc)

Their Fri pitcher is supposed to be an ace/stud but I doubt they've gotten outside too much if any at all with all the cold weather all round up there. But they did go out to UCLA last yr to open the season & took 2-3. Not sure if their complete uniforms are as wild, but their hats are supposedly just as bad as their football helmets were last yr.

I always tell me wife to go outside and then tell her to subtract 10 degrees and thats how cold it will be at the Box.

FYI - Whitson from Florida is sidelined with shoulder fatigue. He is going to see Dr. James Andrews today. If he has shoulder fatigue, he is in serious trouble. Guy just can't stay healthy. He was battling "fatigue" last season as well.
