This is only year he has been suspended multiple games. I am not sure he has been suspended before this year. Mostly he has been injured when he was absent which hasn’t been much. He is a lot better than you guys think. When he comes back he will start.

The buzz is a done deal ... He’s back ...

Still gotta do the strength and conditioning tasks and maybe we see him Utah St ...

Cushenberry is likely coming back to cement his highest possible Draft potential ... He’s a Remington Award Top 10 guy that will be a Top 3 guy if he stays another year ... The rest will be fine, esp Hines ... but we need two more 4 or 5 stars i agree ...

Dumervil likely goes with the Miami gangstas but you never know ... There are a few other targets still out there ... We could always truck GA in the SECCG and try to flip their commits ??

I’m disappointed too ... Rosenthal missed that block and Jeaux took one helluva shot in the GSU game ... Did anyone note that was the only time in that game that Joe got hit ... But Rosenthal has huge potential and will play

These suspensions piss me off as these guys just gotta get their assignments done and leave gunja alone until Jan Championship celebrations commence

Rosenthal did start but missed a couple key blocks and Badore replaced him.

And bank it Cush will return for his senior year. Charles will probably go but not get drafted till late. Should stay.

2020 commit Cameron Jackson will never play one down of DT will wind up on the OL. O and staff will look to the JUCO ranks and transfer portal for OL's if needed. Trust O to beef up the OL.

They rotated them the entire game, he wasn't replaced.

Cush is a rsJR and preseason 1st team

Staying another year won’t improve his stock.

So next year would be.. D. Rosenthal or S. Charles, K. Thomas, C. Hines, E. Ingram, A. Deculus

Good looking group. ADD most of our returning skilled pos players (JJ?, CEH?), and a strong-armed qb who knows the system and is getting reps. OFF should remain explosive. Keep Charging Tigers!

Yep, it was a rotation not a benching. Not sure of the pattern though (series, number of plays, quarters, minutes, etc.).

I too am big on Rosenthal. Not so much I am, or was, declaring him a sure-fire starter. I'm thinking next year he is. Hence the game experience this year.

Rosenthal has all the tools- athleticsm (or plenty of it, more than 'enough'), one hell of a mean streak, and a natural frame that isn't perfect but good enough for an OT. The pieces are in place. He is lacking in the mental aspect and still needs to get stronger; hence experience is the key and one more year in S&C to be the guy. Cregg is going to have to harness his DT 'twitch' into an OT 'step'. If he can do that, and Dare does his part, there's potential to be 1st team SEC in the future.

Traore I am impressed with. I had doubts about him because of physical limitations (while having an absolutely great frame for OT). He's doing very good. His technique and body control/posture has really improved. While his agility and athleticism will limit him, they have also improved. If he wasn't behind Charles and Austin right now he'd be a starter (not the 'best ever', but still); he's improved enough for that. Which is quite an improvement. Something to note as far as Cregg.

You are forgetting Big Joe Barksdale.

coming back next year when the run game picks up with an experienced Emery and TDP may improve their stock.

This is false. The only thing that improves their stock is getting bigger, faster, quicker, and better. The NFL doesn’t care how good the running back is.

You got a point there. I don’t expect to see him back. I think they can retain Charles though.

This all bodes pretty well overall. I’ll still be watching with fingers crossed for them to maybe flip a big guy late though.

He missed 1 block and the plan was to rotate them just like game 1.

Do you stop and think about what you are saying before you blurt it out?

You say in one sentence this is his only year to have been suspended multiple games like its fact...and then follow it up in the very next sentence that you are not sure he has been suspended before this year???

So which one is it?

I seem to recall some of the buzz around the suspensions was that the reason they were going to be multiple games was that they were repeat offenses.

Course they handle all that stuff “in house”, so that’s hard to verify... either way, it doesn’t change the fact that a clean offseason could improve his stock.

Not sure if eltigre was arguing that or pointing to a more complete season or just defending Charles generally.

To be clear, I’m not passing judgement on Charles — just calling it what it is.

Our best OL scenario for 2020 3-4 Deep is as follows:

LT- S. Charles - D. Rosenthal - C. Wire - C. JACKSON
LT- C. Hines - K. Thomas - J. Savage - M. MARTINEZ
C- L. Cushenberry - C. Hines - C. Turner
RT- Ed Ingram - D. Campbell - T. Perry
RT- A. Deculus - M. DUMERVIL (if we get him) - A. Bradford

Recruits in CAPS, Charles and Cush are not high draft picks and should come back to elevate their stock.

I say we lose 1 of our current commits so we have 3 picks left, and I would like to get another OL (Dumervil), DT Jacobian Guillory and either another OT or a stud DB.

We are nasty at DB for 2020 with Elias Ricks to take Fulton's place opposite Stingley Jr. and we have J. Stevens and finally Eric Monroe at Safety, with Marcel Brooks and Keenan Jones as backups at S, and Jordan Toles and Major Burns coming in for further depth at S. We have the young guns at CB this year who will have a lot of experience going into 2020 like C. Flott, Jay Ward and Raydarious Jones, with Lorenzo Johnson coming in with Ricks as a 2020 CB. We remain DBU and get a huge load of DT to be able to compete with Bama and Clemson for the foreseeable future.
