Ingram is the only lineman that should foreseeably declare for the draft

Ingram is currently a late 2 - 3rd round guy. He could easily play himself into the first next year if the entire O-line gets better.

A better O-line will make him much more attractive.

Coach O said last week " a few are set on leaving". Meaning juniors I presume though it could mean seniors as well.

I’ve seen Ingram projected from 1st round to 3rd

It would be great to have Ingram and/or Deculus back. But if they want to leave I won't be mad. They've given plenty to the program and are in year 4.

Gaye and Cox should return for a bigger year and possibly a higher draft slot. Logan, Farrell, Deculus and Ingram I would expect will leave.

I agree with all of these , except probably Cox. I think the NFL has seen enough of Cox to draft him high.

Andre Anthony?

Ray Thornton?

Racey?

I wonder if any of these seniors are considering it. It would certainly help with our scholarship deficit problem.

Deculus is the worst I lineman we have and we should be hoping he goes pro.

Cox same thing flip a coin

Cox is done here. I heard todd mcshay say he had him ranked as the 5th best linebacker in the draft.

Gaye and Ingram need to return they have shown flashes but just not consistent at all. Ingram has to show he can be counted on too since he had all the drama a few years back with off the field stuff.

-I believe Gaye could benefit the most by returning.
the fact that this is even discussed is hilarious and shows the problems LSU has. Gaye has no business leaving right now. He'd be lucky to be a 5th round pick.
-Deculus & Ingram I'm not sure about as well
Deculus i could see leaving, and it might not matter to his draft stock even if he comes back. Ingram should definitely come back. He's another guy looking at 5th round at best (and I'm only giving him that because he's from LSU). Come back, put in the work to improve yourself, and be a top 3 round pick.
-I saw the thread earlier about Cox could be returning, but I believe his stock is pretty high already
I could see Cox anywhere from early 3rd to early 5th round. Right now his game is almost all coverage. Depending on who we get at DC, he could serve to get a huge boost by coming back. Remember what Aranda did for Duke Riley? Special teams ace his whole career, just happy to be here. In his last year, first for Aranda, he is the starter, leads the team in tackles and 2nd in TFL, and gets drafted in the 3rd round.
Also guys like Logan and Farrell I guess could depart from team but we have talent behind them.
if they leave, it better be to transfer. Don't see either one of them getting drafted.
Baskerville should stay as well.
obviously, because he hasn't done much. Unless he's transferring, makes no sense for him to leave

In a world that makes sense, Stevens, Deculus and Cox would be the only starters to leave for the draft. Even Liam should be back. Barring transfers, LSU should bring back 19 starters

LSU is going to be lucky to field 70+ players next year even after 25 ships handed out so even if they're not good, better hope all these guys stay but with LSU's luck and especially after seeing guys like Jacoby tank his stock away by staying...no way in hell.

Why would he count toward the 25, he should have a waiver because of COVID or something like that, right

From what I’ve heard listening to media guys it sounds like Gaye is probably coming back, staff has to work on every other guy.

He needs another year.
Him leaving is crazy talk

Ingram and deculus i could see leaving
Shanahan is back
Cox i see leaving but if he comes back he could move up to an early 2nd type of player

There is zero chance Cox returns.

We do this to ourselves every year. Just accept it, he’s fine and has absolutely nothing to gain by coming back

We should pay Toby Weathersby to come talk to them about leaving too early.

Ingram is the only player in that list that should even consider not returning. Cox could greatly increase his draft stock with another year and a overall better defense next season

Maybe he could get a waiver but there isn’t an automatic COVID waiver for kids who want to transfer away for the COVID season and then return to their previous school. And the waiver would be for immediate eligibility not for counting against the 25.

Plus I think the 1 free transfer starts in January anyway.

Why are we (what feels like) the only school who has to accept that guys who are 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th rounders or UDFAs that can’t improve their stock are just gonna leave early?

By that logic every school should consistently have juniors leaving to be 6th round picks...

FYI: every school does not consistently have juniors leaving to be 6th round picks. Only LSU!!!!!

Bielma was a shitty coach at arky but he said that a lot of his issues were having so many more juniors leave early than he expected. He said when he was at wiscy, no one left early unless they were a first rounder and in the SEC he’d lose 2-3 guys he never thought he’d lose. That’s at Arkansas. At LSU the problem is so much worse.
