Kelly likes to use multiple TEs.
That's because his talent pool was so weak in the Midwest.

It also creates severe mismatches if you have a good TE. They are too big for a nickel/safety and usually too fast/athletic to be covered by a LB.

Brady and Kelly calling plays is pretty much the same thing as Brady/Coach E right?
E is obviously still on staff as an analyst. Perhaps he could be incented to step back into a less intense role ?OB coach? and aid JB with playcalling.

If Joe Brady was here for this past season we would have won 10 games.

Every once in a while something comes up where it’s really easy to look at some ones stance and determine if they’re worth listening to or not. Your stance on Joe Brady is one of those instances. He would be a poor hire.

I really do not want someone from the Patriots coaching tree. I would like to take someone like Tom Herman or Dan Mullen to revamp their reputation and who are proven play callers in the college game.

That’ll be 3 coaches calling plays. Way to crowded imo

I really do hope our new OC doesn't have many picks.

Kelly is not going to just hand over the offense to someone. That's why he likes young guys that he can mold. Brady could be a decent fit if he could put ego aside and learn from Kelly's experience while adding his own modern concepts. It's basically what he did in 2019. Unfortunately, he got so much national attention for our offensive improvement that he was offered a job he really wasn't ready for.
