These are 18, 19, 20 year olds. I’m surprised there isisn’t more of this type of instability and uncertainty amongst these young men than there is.

From Day 1, I've said get rid of him. But what if, the players said "We want to give him a second chance" then he came out this summer and worked his tail off to prove he regretted his decision and dedicated himself to proving he is the best TE in the country? Just a thought.

If O wants him back, I have to trust the coach’s judgement.

It’s exactly why we have the problems we do at LSU. Sycophants worshipping whores and criminals because they have no real faith in the program or our coach.

He doesn’t owe any of us a damn thing.

Hope he comes back. The goal is to field the best team possible, regardless of how you feel about his actions in the past.

Seriously can't understand some of the responses to this. I especially don't understand some of the deeply angry posts. The bottom line is no one truly understands the situation. No one truly knows what happened or what he might be dealing with. Every one of us is dependent on third party information. Most people don't take the time to dig in deeper to gain understanding but just make snap judgments. I didn't like the way things went down and I was highly disappointed. This was magnified by the circumstances of last season including the way the team was playing coupled with all of the opt outs. As a Tiger Fan I was equally disappointed in Chase and Marshall. As a person, I recognize that each person has things they are dealing with and trying to achieve and their goals may not align with what I would want them to do which is win championships at LSU. But I'm just a fan. I would gladly welcome Arik back to LSU if the pieces fit and if it works for the team as a whole. The dude is an incredible talent and in the right system he is going to do some serious damage. I don't, however, want him back at the expense of the team. But all that aside, I hope the young man has been able to resolve all of his issues, I hope that he learns and grows and goes on to be successful in whatever he does.

Of course this whole post gets thrown out the window if he were to end up at Alabama.

I agree. But... if he rides off into the sunset it is totally his business and no one else. If he comes back I think we deserve answers.

If you spouse walks out on you they may or may not provide reasons. They are free to do what they want. Now if they walk out and decide later to come back, someone has some explaining to do.

If he is going through something tough, that is unfortunate. However, he owes his team mates an explanation if he wants back on the team IMO.

He definitely owes his teammates an explanation but he doesn’t owe the fans shite. If it’s a personal situation, he has no obligation to air his dirty laundry publicly.

I hope O let’s the team vote on whether or not to let him come back. I’d hate to lose the locker room after working so hard to get it back.

We aren't in a personal relationship with Arik. His personal demons are his business and his alone.

Thank you.

People thinking "we deserve" & "he owes us" is childish.

If he does comes back LSU and Gilbert needs to come clean on what all went on. If the kid does have mental health issues he needs to stand up and admit it publicly, not just for himself but for future players

checks out.

He doesn't owe your dumbass or anyone else other than coaches an explanation (which they already know), especially if it's a mental health issue.

How entitled can you be to demand a 19 year old with personal issues to come out and publicly explain himself?

We just gonna act like this dude didn’t try to get into Florida.
Move on

What acting? He left and looked at the gators. Now he is thinking of where to go next.

If he burned no bridges and is still good with the staff and players wtf do we care if you don't want him but they do?

If they don’t already know, the coaches and teammates deserve answers. Fans don’t deserve shite.
