Les needed to go, his run was over and the trend was certainly downward. Orgeron, as much fun as it might have been, was not qualified to be the replacement. These two points are not mutually exclusive. For the rocket surgeons, one statement being true doesn’t make the other false.

You shouldn't fire Les if you are gonna settle on O

You're absolutely right, but Les shouldn't have been fired if there wasn't a better plan than O.

Alleva having a 2 month head start on the coaching search and ending up with O is truly terrible.

So LSU was bad with Les but worse with O... but Les still needed to go....

Doesn't make sense considering we can't get rid of O because of his buyout and what they're paying Les

Las had to be fired and O should have never been considered. It's not hard to figure out

Neither of these mean that Alleva is competent enough to hire a replacement, either.

Les >>>>>>> O

Just because it was his time to go doesn't mean he was worse than what we have now.

This is hindsight after the clusterfrick that is Alleva. Still doesn’t mean Les’ time wasn’t up.

Didn’t say he was worse. Again, one fact doesn’t discount the other.

So bring Les back and we'll have more?

Wrong.

Les should have been coach until we could get an equal or better replacement.

I won't disagree that Les was on his last legs... However, I only thought he should be fired if they could get Herman or Jimbo

I didn’t disagree. Irrelevant at this point.

The big problem with this "logic" is that you took LSU football out of Mile's capable hands, and put your trust in Alleva's incompetence.

Agreed and it appears that this was not going to happen with our current AD. Unfortunately, he thought he had at least one of them and was played.

Les should never have been fired UNLESS we had a coach better than SABAN ready to cone on board

I enjoyed being ranked #2 in the country going into mid November

Actually, I didn’t get a vote, but in hindsight, I can’t disagree. It appeared as though he was on the right track with the search, but apparently out of his league in negotiations with the big boys.
