Dude, the game was already over. That’s not a fair shot with MVB. Including drops, penalties, and already being down with a crap line. 52 yards could’ve easily been 150.

I don't disagree with you, but we got here as the result of a court decision.

No credit to Kelly, Brad Davis, OL etc?
Nuss didn’t do it by himself.

Agreed

The offense was flawed all season and even with benching Nuss still had some struggles

From OP:

"Never heard one player have such a devastating impact. Feel sorry for him but someone should have taken the hard decision to take him out early in the season, and we would have saved a whole bunch of money"

Nothing harsh was written, just simple reality. In fact, OP expresses sympathy for Nuss and puts the blame where it belongs = Coaches for not making the Hard but Right decision of replacing him.

The other equally D i s a s t e r o u s decision was appointing Nussmeier as the "Team Leader"!?
** (after just writing that factual statement about Nuss being "the" Leader, my fingers suddenly froze and prevented me from typing the next sentence. I noticed that my brain was also alerting me to halt/wait....telling me to "re-read/edit"....that "something was very wrong" in what I wrote!? I was confused and found myself re-reading that sentence about Nussmeier (#18) being the Team Leader this entire season. You may also find your brain, right now, struggling with what I'm saying/describing. But less than 24 hours ago, during last night's National TV broadcast vs Bama, it was mentioned/confirmed that Garrett was indeed the Team's Leader! While re-reading my above sentence/statement.....I suddenly realized why I was unable to compute or reckon it with reality. And the reason was that "IT WAS UTTERLY INSANE"!!

Definition of Insanity is: "Doing the same thing over & over and expecting different results".

Before I end, allow me to geaux you one step further, deeper into the Pitts of Insanity. Brian Kelly appointing Nussmeier as the Team's Leader before the season began was beyond derelict. BUT TO PRETEND & ALLOW HIM TO REMAIN THE TEAM'S LEADER THIS ENTIRE SEASON......WAS SELF IMMOLATING SUICIDE FOR KELLY, NUSSMEIER, THE ENTIRE TEAM & PROGRAM!!

** psychology, self & situational awareness/analysis (reading the tea leaves) whether on an organizational, team, local/national level....is very tricky & very easily (insanely) overlooked/avoided. Reality (sanity) is often "DENIED"! **. An large portion of a Team's FanBase can become deluded. When I began this post....I noticed that the OP's comments had cumulated a "score" of: 21 Likes vs 58 Dislikes!?! Sorry, but this is clinical "Co-Dependency".

Most people are ignorant as to what the Term/Condition/Behavior of "Co-Dependency" actually is. And consequently, most are entirely unaware of the very real, quite serious & wide ranging negative ramifications it causes/creates in peoples lives, relationships, etc. So, before simply "flaming out", or thinking that I am pontificating or deriding anyone (including Nussmeier); my hope is that perhaps some, or even just 1 I pray, may investigate what Co-Dependency actually is. While difficult to understand/see initially, you will very quickly see, recognize ample proof of who/how/what it operates to control, manipulate and even destroy many lives! Even an elementary understanding, awareness of Co-Dependency will afford one tremendous benefits in how/what is "really going on"!!

And......even cause a Team to Fail, Lose Football Games, Get Fired, Destroy Futures!

Is that you Woody or Kelly?

Don't blame a player for your incompetence.

Who hired the assistants and recruited the players.

If Nuss is to blame, why didn't you play the 2nd or 3rd QB?

Agree with this take. If he had busted his tail in the offseason and played like this. I would just say he isn’t good enough and at least gave it his all. However, it appears he didn’t do that. When he is being paid as much as he is and gave the effort he gave, he gets little to no sympathy. The other responsible parties have either been fired or will be at the end of the year. His lack of preparation was a major reason we are currently sitting at 5-4. He is now having to live in the mess he created by not preparing beforehand.

Yep, a solid offense and BK is never fired. No one wants to admit it though.

It was Kelly/Woody's players, Defense and Offense.
Four years and Orgeron fielded the best team in NCAA History. But he was not a "Fit" so he had to go.

The Left wing of Louisiana politics has been in control since then.
How is it going?
I can't wait until the next game.

I wonder, if Football and Basketball keep losing, will the NIL Boosters quit.

I feel sorry for you, blaming one player for what really is a wide range of issues.

He didn't pan out and has played poorly. But if coaches put all of your eggs in one basket over multiple years, then they're not doing a good job anyway.

You think Orgeron was fired because 'he was not a fit'?

Completely disagree. The coaches that started Nuss are the ones that cost the program. You can’t blame the player for wanting to play, even when he sucks.

Exactly

No player is going to purposefully sit on the bench because they realize they didn’t do well

I don’t feel sorry for him, but I don’t root against him either. I won’t miss his time this year anyway

Dude the offensive line is the main problem and was last year in run game. Brad Davis turned them into p#$sies.
