re: Nuss’ running ability?

I think he can run enough to keep the defense honest, but my problem is Nuss thinks he needs to make a play every down and that could get you in a lot of trouble. There's a time to run and slide safely, a time to lower the shoulder for that half yard for a first down and a time to throw the ball away and live to fight another down.
I feel like Nuss wants to be that great play maker like JD and JB, and he may become that, but right now he just needs to play within himself and the rest will come with time.

It isn’t that important.

Have y’all not watched him when he’s played? He has great escapability in the pocket but keeps looking downfield to launch the ball instead of running it himself
And if you all watch Rickie Collins film he does the same thing extending plays

What is his ceiling here? Can he be a threat similar to Burrow or is he strictly a pocket passer?
He's got the agility and speed of Maason Smith. Fortunately he can throw a whole lot better.

Burrow unofficial 40 time is 4.9-4.82. Last time Nuss clocked a 40 was 4.82. His mobile ability is nearly identical to Burrow.

His 40 speed is comparable to Burrows, according to your post.
His mobility is NOT. Footwork and speed of initial steps mean a great deal for QB escapability, but so does timing and feel for the pocket. The latter two may come with experience, but Nuss will never make a living out of mobility or nimbleness.
with better consistency and accuracy, he still has a chance to be good.

If he needs 15 or less yards to get a 1st down, he's more than capable if the field is open in front of him. Mettenberg, Etling, Brennan didn't give much faith when a first down run was needed.
Nussmeier looks to be quicker than Matt Mauck on the 2003 National title team after watching several replays from the '03 season. Problem is for Nuss is he didn't have the defense Mauck had to bail out the offense when they bogged down.

Dude Etling could run the ball well.

Sad but true, as people on this site will expect him to be great as 1st year starter. He won’t be, be he will be in year 2

From what I’ve seen of him, he seems to have decent athleticism. I would say baker mayfield equivalent. He probably will never beat the defenders to the edge, or have designed running plays other than a sneak, but is capable of escaping pressure from the pocket and gaining a few yards. I would say like a baker mayfield. He’s more mobile than MB or mett.

Nuss’ running is a combination of OJ Simpson, Barry Sanders and Michael Vick. He will probably win the Heisman and The Maxwell awards. Will project as the number 1 player in the draft but will return to school because he loves Forever LSU.

He’s about as mobile as Danny Etling
Not a total liability but still not a big threat to rip off 30 yards at a time.

Probably the closest i can think is Danny Etling although Etling ram more than I think Nuss will.

Etling ran 51 yard touchdown for GB and a 91 yard run for NE.
