maybe but it looks like he is making a "READ" of the DE. which screams zone read.

Its a drill. And to be fair even if it was inside zone his eyes will be on the end as if he is reading to give that look.

His eyes on an inside zone vs zone read are the same. If its RPO he reads either the backer or safety depending on the personnel and alignment. But this is a drill not a game rep. People get way too worked up over this crap.

Kelly is going to sink the ship with Nuss. Just like Les fricking Miles did.

It’s evident he is not that hurt. Something may be bothering him but we can shut down that his play has been altered in some huge way because of the “injury”.
then why can’t he throw the ball more than 40 yards all of a sudden?

Some of you believe anything

I'm not saying Scarborough was right, but a football player simply practicing is not exactly proving someone has good work ethic.

Dude i had to read your comment again. And man you are so right. These kids cant handle the blocking scheme RPO requires. At least it seems that way. "Hey we are either run blocking or pass blocking on this play". That can of course change as the season goes on but right now they look confused.

Ive seen this in the NFL too this season in places. O-lineman looking lost.

A little bit of both of your conclusions is going on in my opinion. He’s hurt, they are not scheming to protect his injury and extremely inept as a whole. He actually shouldn’t play again until he’s fully healthy, for his sake and the sake of the team. I just find it funny how people watched him play last year and has pro level arm strength and then this year doesn’t have zip on the same throws and can’t decipher that he’s injured. You don’t just lose that arm strength.
You can go through just about any sport, basketball with shooting.range, golf with being able to bomb it, baseball with pitching/ throwing/ arm strength and most are born with that and you don’t just lose it, there is something hampering that innate ability and most times it’s an injury.
In conclusion, do I think he can be better? Absolutely, still struggles with decision making when heavily pressured or flushed from the pocket and struggles mightily with fades into the end zone ( bad mechanics in my opinion ) but at the same time, the struggles of this offense is not all on him. Sloan, Davis and the OL suck and they are huge contributors to the struggles of the offense also.

Any chance he pulls it and runs right there?

He might very well pull it out to throw a slant. That's the most ubiquitous play in modern college football.

That was the point I was trying to make to the poster who said that Nuss wasn’t hurt; he just sucks.

Exactly on the RPO, why would a hurt quarterback run???

An injury would also affect the P. No R or P, so what is the O?

Nobody who thinks he’s not injured can answer this question logically

Nuss and Sloan are the two biggest disappointments this season.
Both need big improvements in order for the Tigers to make the CFP!
