I hate that this even has to be "announced"

I don't think it was announced. He didn't show up in the portal yesterday, so Shea likely asked him and confirmed that he isn't leaving. The tweet and thread title make it sound like more than it is.

I get ya but this was actually him responding to a reporter’s question. Nuss did not hold a press conference or anything…. Not sure it qualifies as an “announcement” exactly

100% media trying to stir up some buzz. Nuss knows he's going to have his time at LSU. The guy is a turned ankle away from being the starter, and he could come in and crush it to keep the job.

LSU is in a very good spot with Daniels and Nuss.

Great news for LSU, since JD will moving on next year. LSU's QB room is great shape for the future. I really never expected Nuss to leave. He's a Tiger!

Why exactly?

Because labeling a story with "BREAKING" should never be followed by a sentence that practically means "nothing has changed."

Guess the thread title or reporting is misleading then, def should reflect that its answering a question.

Stand by the fact that its ridiculous that we even have to have the conversation. It is what it is, but I think its terrible for the sport in general.

Kinda funny to me, between him and the other kid who left, one was just born here and considers Louisiana home and has stayed true to that state, while the other lived here his whole life, dad played here, bailed the first chance he could.

Why would he go to Alabama or Florida? Wouldn’t he have been ineligible to play this upcoming season?

You are correct.

Portal transfers this late, within the conference, would have to sit out the 2023 year.

His 2nd half SECCG vs Georgia only intensifies the fans calling for him to play.

just a play on the impetuous nature of this place, if Burrows(sic) had had a bad first half or even, gulp, lost a game in 2019 this place would have wanted him tarred and feathered and sent packing back to Ohio

This couldn't be further from the truth. Not saying that it was Burrow in particular but the offense did struggle vs Auburn and the first half against MSU and the first half against Texas. We still won those games but to say that one bad half or one loss would have turned people against Burrow is dumb.

I don't think this is really a fair criticism of Howard. Regardless of where he was born, he saw that Nuss was much further along in his development than Howard was and he didn't want to wait around in BR to play for a single season.

Nuss sticking around does show his character but I don't think it was apples to apples when comparing his situation to Howard's.
