Decision making was horrible. It was his first action so you continue to work with him but no... what was shown last night isn't going to work.

Looks like he MIGHT have some ability, decision making was poor, he has mobility for sure, and he needs to calm down a tad.

Such a bad take.

Weight does not correspond to durability. 20 extra pounds doesn’t make ligaments or bones stronger.

You couldn’t be more wrong. For an athlete it does. For a fat guy on the couch, you would be correct.

Putting on weight/muscle due to weight training and diet will absolutely strengthen tendons, ligaments, and bones.

What game were you watching, I don't think its debatable what I put up there.

- he has wheels and mobility
- he has a good energy
- throwing, I'm not sure you can gather much at this point, I mean he's humming it down the field in double coverage ????
- bad decision making he could have had 15-20 yard easy runs a few times

Time, I don't think anyone can debate what I put up there.

See what he does next week.

I did appreciate the pump fake to the TE just before the nice touch pass TD to Boutte though.

Y’all are seeing what you want to see with him. He looked like a good freshman but damn y’all are in here acting as if he was spectacular. He would’ve thrown one pick 6 if the defense was decent.

Our players are free from any blame until Peetz decides to do something different. He is abysmal. I would take Cameron back right now

100%. He’s over 190lbs now and it’s good weight. He’s 6’1”, he don’t need to weigh what a 6’4” Max and Myles weigh. You don’t want him developing cement blocks for feet anyway. He’ll be fine right around 200.

You are right, he doesn’t look spectacular at the moment. But he seems like our best option IMO

LSU had him listed as 190lbs. Not sure where you are getting your information from.

The game last night showed 172. No shot he’s 190.

Y’all need to relax on max.. this offensive line is terrible. Max needs every single rep, if we are going to win games this season. I can understand rotating Myles in, but Nuss isn’t ready right now and will get killed by this offensive line.

Unfortunately he was throwing to Jenkins, who couldn't catch fish already in the boat

This. Manziel was lighter than that & held up fine in SEC play.

He doesn't have a year or two.

Walker is coming. And he's the truth.

Didn't realize he had that kind of quickness, safety had a beat on him and Nussmeier escaped rather easily. Knew he a had a strong arm and that's why Orgeron needs to make a change now and get him ready for sec play. Johnson, who I liked can't make the throws when pressured, just doesn't have that kind of arm strength. He short armed a few 3rd down passes. Yeah, the offensive coordinator and play calling needs help too, but when Johnson had time he threw some bad passes. A good quarterback can cover a multitude of sins, and I think LSU has a good one with Nussmeir.

saw a lot of things from Nuss that we should be excited about. He has confidence and looks very comfortable moving around. He makes these accurate throws look easy. He threw a lot of passes into double coverage. Even when throwing into double coverage his throws were right on his receiver. His decision making isn’t great right now but that is something that he will improve upon with time. He’s not ready to play as a freshman yet but I think given a year or two he will be a really good QB for us. Looking forward to seeing this kid play in another year or so.

Sick of this mentality. “In a year or two he may be something” frick that. He’s every bit as capable as any of the others quarterbacks we have on the roster. Y’all are dumb as rocks

Max looks to the sideline for about 10 sec before each play. I know it’s not all oh him, but damn it’s gets old. Either Max is not competent at reading defenses or the coaches don’t trust him.

I will say it's a bit of both. You can definitely tell Max struggles at times with pre & post snap reads. Everyone sees the pressure he's getting from blitzes & line stunts. While most are putting it on the offensive line, they are failing to realize that Johnson has a responsibility to make a pre snap read & make blocking adjustment calls accordingly. He's not doing that so a lot of the pressure he is getting falls on his shoulders.
