In fact, if he entered the portal, he would be the number one QB in it.

If Arch Manning, DJ Lagway, Jalen Milroe and Nuss entered the portal, it would be 1 Nuss then who?

Too much Kool Aid. The kid at Tulane is better than Nussmeier in every aspect in running a RPO designed offense.

It’s possible that there could be better QBs. The real question is do you want to spend what it will cost you to get one with all of the other holes that you have. Any QB that would be an upgrade over Nuss is likely going to cost over $2M. Only way you consider that is if Nuss leaves.

Are you meaning zone read? If so, is it his 1.8 ypc that you are using as proof?

A lot of LSU fans getting really drunk off of a performance against Vanderbilt.

Nuss is a really good quarterback.
I think what we’ve seen this year is the fact that he absolutely can’t or won’t run. This makes him 1 dimensional and as everyone can plainly see, the ability to take off and run would be super helpful.

He'd be the best in the portal for 2025, but that doesn't mean he'd be the most valuable in the portal. Would be sweet to get a young guy in the portal to come compete with Hurley and whoever else we may have by 2026.

True dual threats are fairly rare, most end up being runners who struggle in the passing game.

This fanbase has a bad problem with believing that there are always these great coaches or players available that LSU can just go get when sometimes, they don't even exist.

We need Nuss back. The LSU history of second year starter is impressive

Too many fans think LSU can go grab any mobile QB and the offense will look like 2023. Jayden was a unicorn. He was just as good a runner in 2022. The reason the offense took off in ‘23 is the same reason he is leading the ROY odds. His arm.

I actually agree with this. He is better than Milroe and Beck for sure. He has much more upside, despite what the haters say on here.

Odd statement on this board. A couple of years ago, Majority Posters on this Board swore Manning was the most over rated QB recruit in the nation.

Nuss, in his first season, with average receivers, is making plays similar to the best QBs ever to play at LSU.
Using Burrow and Daniels as a measuring stick, he should make a fantastic improvement in his second year as a starter.

LOL. The only team they played this year with a pulse was Oklahoma, 6-5 Oklahoma. He was 14/32 for 166 yards with a TD and a Int.

Competition matters.

ehhh, not knocking him, but his stats aren't blowing it out of the water passing, at all.
