If tweet fails to load, click here. Collins is a bad game/half away from still getting playing time, but that's gotta be fun. I'm sure a lot of these kids transfer to a place where they assume they have a clear path to start. And sounds like he had a good camp.

Good on Rickie
He went to a place with a likelihood of hi playing time
Nothing but positive for him.

Wanted to see him beat Tennessee

I’m rooting for Rickie! Hopefully he gets an opportunity somewhere, or maybe play this season if Angeli doesn’t work out initially.

Rickie is a good kid who came here and provided us depth for a while when he knew the room was still stacked.
He did the right thing and left for playing time somewhere else.
Wish him the best.

Well he had clear path in December.... But Syracuse kept looking for a better option and took Angelli in April... In the age of the transfer portal, I can see him chasing starting spots like TJ FInley. At some point he is going to need to actually play in games somewher.. the waiting around in Nuss type situations are going to be few and far between

That sucks. Would have pulled for him to succeed.

Damn I thought he was named the starter back in the spring

I’d imagine the situation will be fluid. Between the two qbs being pretty level and the schedule being extra tough, I could envision looking for options sooner than later.

Syracuse is a perennial cellar dweller. He will have plenty of opportunities this year… likely as early as the first game.

Right; I think this situation will remain fluid and would not be at all surprised if Collins will see plenty of action and get his chance to start some games this season.

Rickie was sharp in the limited action he saw last year with the Tigers. Don't know why he's not starting for the 'Cuse.

LSU might be the worst evaluators at QB out of high school. Nuss is the anomaly the last 20 years.

I mean I still think he is going to have his chance to shine this year. Odds are that Syracuse is going to struggle against some of their opponents this year and they would be dumb to not try something different unless Angeli lights the world on fire which I highly doubt.
