SIAP but I’m trying to plan a surprise party for someone and would love for it to be a LSU v. Bama watch party but only if the game is at night. Do we have any idea when it will be determined or the likelihood of it being prime time?

TIA

None based on the current SEC TV contract, but that was modified once before to turn this into a primetime game. Otherwise, it'll be 2:30 on CBS.

CBS said it wouldn't be a night game...guaranteed 2:30.

Likely 2:30 now but if both teams are undefeated going in, you can bet it will become a 7:00 PM game

ESPN is pushing for Prime Time. I think with Bama bitching and ESPN both now pressuring it could change

My sources are quite credible. It will be a 3:14 kick off.

Lots of people who have no idea of what might happen feel the need to respond with BS.
OP, just check back in another week or so. The media will start explaining what will probably take place. The one thing that is for sure is that LSU/Bama will not a CBS night game

99% chance it is 2:30. Maybe it will change our luck

It was a scheduled 2:30 game in 2011 as well. CBS had already used it's double header date and negotiated with ESPN to get another prime-time slot.

Luck has nothing to do with how the last 8 games have played out.

Are you suggesting Bama has a vested interest in it being a prime time game? Why would that be so? Seems they might would prefer the 2:30 slot.

CBS is already using their only night spot for UGA vs ND in a few weeks. I’m sure they got tired of burning their one prime night game for the same outcome the last 7 years and wanted a change...

...well looks like they picked the wrong year to change it.
