The DE room is pretty loaded with depth. You have Princewill as the crown jewel of course, then you have:

Pyburn? (4 NFL preseason sacks already)
Ross
Carpenter
ND transfer (still leading name)
Lamar Brown
Shanklin
Kolaj Cobbins
Trenton Henderson
USCe transfer (can't think of name)

Reliford (injured)

That's a lot of guys for 2 spots. If I'm Baker, I'm going to be rotating and telling the guys that you need them to be 100% screaming off the edge or bull rushing the Tackle every play. They should never get fatigued.

Probably could put a couple at the nickel to keep them fresh

More names than stats. Hoping some of these show out.

By the SEC bullshite policy he's actually not, because he entered the draft and didn't withdraw. He tore his pec at NDs pro day which I didn't know till recently, regardless, he never pulled out from the draft list.

But there is language in the rule that would make him ineligible. For the record I think all 2022 that thought they were out of eligibility should be able to play this year regardless of "pro" status.

Just pointing that part out about their bullshite newly added policy

The draft stipulation only applies if you leave school early and enter the draft. Otherwise, every 5th-year senior who has finished their eligibility would be ineligible under the NCAA rule. Junior Tuihalamaka is 100% temporarily eligible under the protection of the TRO. However, if a motion to stay is granted, then he would revert to being ineligible.

Just teach them how to seal the edge on the way to the QB....LSU was horrible last year on this.

Kinda crazy that we haven't heard any opinions from current players. Normally someone would be running their mouth

Yes, sorry if I didn't clarify that, you're completely right. Was referring to their initial statement on what players teams are not allowed to sign.

Agreed. Hopefully this allows them to push him inside.
However, he hasn’t been practicing inside all fall. Though I do think it’s his more natural position

The wording “declare” is a term for underclassmen. Those who have run out of eligibility are draft eligible and do not declare. His eligibility was returned after the draft process, so he couldn’t declare nor could he withdraw. He also did not sign a contract so he is not in breach of the SEC rule

Doubt we use DEs as the nickel. We put an extra db on the field.

Princewill and Pyburn and some depth will be a beautiful thing to see.
