Anyone have an update on the little girl hit in the face by the Grand Slam? This was right by us. She was conscious and alert but blood went everywhere and she was taken away by EMS. Hoping to hear nothing was badly damaged or broken.

Don't know how a dad could ever let that happen to their child. It's a home run.. not like it's a fast fouled off liner. You have plenty of time.. Make the play.

One game into the season and I’m already stressed out from baseball after that rally.

I love this time of the year.

I let an elderly man get hit by the Coastal Carolina HR hit right to us, so I'm not a great example myself. But I agree had it been my 8 yr old next to me (like tonight), there's no way I don't shield her from the ball.

This girl was with her mom only from what we could tell and the mom never saw it coming.

Fwiw there were a TON of guests in the regulars' seats around us in 124 tonite which translates into alot of socializing and little attention to the game.

How DID that happen? I had to listen on the radio. Was it in the bleachers or by playground?

I sit right by you apparently. We left early and went down to the playground because my little girls were being insane. I heard right after from our friend it happened. Haven't heard any updates.
Hopefully no major facial fractures.

Yep I'm front row in the chairs by the foul pole. Been there since they built the left field bleachers in 90s. We too had walked out(we're in HR village) for a beer and hurried back in when he hit it. The girl was right by the Ramp on a stretcher as we walked back to our seats and a crew was cleaning blood from the bleachers. She was in 124 maybe 8 rows up seats between 10-20 or so.

Just hope the Coaches and admins know about it and do something special for her, maybe pay a visit to the hospital tomorrow if she's kept overnight. And at least get her the HR ball autographed by the team.

LSU announced a paid attendance of 12,844. There's no way they sold that many tickets. When the attendance is that high it means tons of SRO tickets were sold. That means the grandstand and down the lines should be packed. There were a lot people there but it was nothing like a postseason game at the Box. Two examples of recent packed games are game 1 of the Coastal Carolina and Mississippi State Super Regionals. Those two games were absolutely packed and the attendance for those was only 11,800 and 11,500.

You're wrong. What you learn to pay attention to is weather and how packed the Diamond Deck is. Tonight was the most packed I've ever seen the Box. Diamond deck was completely full all the way to the far left(towards CF). When you see that combined with a jam packed Concourse, it's full. The REASON you see people standing along 3rd base line with SRO tix is when it's late season and hot as frick out there facing the sun in the Diamond Deck RF seats. So Yea. It was jam packed with people in actual seats in the entire Box.

You're a dick and you're wrong in one thread. Well done.

The concourse wasn't jam packed. For Super Regional games (where apparently they sell 1,000 less tickets) you can barely walk in the grandstand because it's so full. There were plenty of people there, but they expect us to think they sold 1,300 more tickets than a super regional game.

The concourse was just as full as a SR game when I walked through it in the 2nd.

One more time. The concourse is more packed later in season because it's hot as frick. We spend a lot of time under there when our seats are in 124 once Temps hit the 90s. You have to look at outfield seats AND the concourse to gauge attendance.

I walked through in the 3rd looking for the taco stand (which isn't there this season wtf) and it wasn't just as full as a SR game. Game 1 of Oklahoma, Coastal Carolina, and Mississippi State were nuts up there.

Oklahoma was nuts I agree. State was shite weather. I don’t remember it being that bad for C.C.
