Not throwing ball around after a strikeout a Covid Thing??

Throwing it around is dumb anyway. Get the ball back to the pitcher and mow the next batter down.

Here’s my theory. They’re always trying to speed baseball up any way they can. I imagine they hired someone that looked at a ton of different games and saw how much time was spent(average)per game tossing it around. They then came back to the powers that be and told them it added an entire 3 1/2 minutes to each game and you should put an end to it and here we are.

And to speed up the length of the game. You know baseball’s big thing these days is trying to figure out ways to speed up the monotonous; (according to this new generation of fans) length of a full 9 inning game...

There is a whole list of stupid shite we as a country are doing due to the covid panicdemic.

I’m not necessarily for or against it in general. I knew some coaches who wanted the ball straight back to the pitcher. But that was the original intention. I also think it’s moronic to stop it for covid reasons. That’s laughable.
