So you saw no glaring issue or issues Sat night? What you saw is expected for #3 in the nation against LA Tech?

Agreed, my point exactly, as stated in the title of topic.
We are as good as our last game, period. We were mediocre Sat night. Not saying anything more than that. But that leads me to believe BK didn't have them ready. It falls on him. I do believe the talent level is great. I dont like a team, or staff, that plays down to the competition. That isn't a great sign. Especially for a couple of key positions, like qb and receivers. Drops excluded, Nuss has to be consistent....hes not new, hes a seasoned senior. LA Tech, or others below our talent, shouldn't rattle him.
Not flaming, just discussing.

Problem is, our qb and receivers were thought to be our strength. Returning rb. Etc
That's my point. If defense has an off night, just slightly, we probably will lose against a quality opponent.
I sure hope not, but for now, our lack of run blocking is a glaring issue..and not just this year.

Im really just going off the last performance. And it was not championship caliber, not even close. That slacking off at times shows me coaching being the likely culprit.
I used the word "smidge" and they are fricking triggered. Our secondary is substantially improved, which allows the backers to attack more.
W did not play like a championship team, and I go off of the last game only.

If you aren’t prepared to pronounce judgments on the defense after two games, why is it different on the offensive side of the ball? The results scoring-wise weren’t good, but there were any number of factors that played into that that are not necessarily predictive of future results.

LOL. Kinda a work around explanation, instead of saying we sucked in many areas.
I've said it several times, im going off of the last performance against an unranked team. We cannot think we'll be able to turn it on and off when needed. That's not how this works.
I absolutely put a large portion of the issues on coaching, preparation, game calling, etc
