The umpires are trying to say way too much when the announce the ruling after review.
Just come out and say "after reveiw we have catcher's interfenence" and move on. The umps have been stumbling over their words all season long.

He did not really reach forward. If his glove isn't there, the ball goes to the backstop. Then you could bitch about that. The batter swung late at a bad pitch.
