A tainted LSU win. Sad we won't be able to see just how good LSU really is.

The Saints' Super Bowl season was really tainted by the win over McNabb-less Eagles.

We have more than enough chances to see just how good we are during the rest of the year.
just want a win. Period.

Amazing that people thing any legal win could be tainted. LSU did nothing to setup this situation. LSU has one of the toughest schedules in the country, maybe the toughest. I think LSU should start the season off with their easiest cream puff each year because the first game of the year I want a win even when we come out rusty.

It isn't as if this is going to be our only tough game and will be struggling to get into a BCS if we go undefeated. I feel confident either way but bigger upsets happen ever week of the season. The easier the better.

No negative enough. Revise and resubmit.

it has nothing to do with confidence

my point is, we were set to get a real test against real talent right out the gate. questions were going to be answered one way or another and there was not going to be any false confidence developed like last year. we were going to get a pretty good indication of how good this team will be in 2010 in game 1. win or lose, we were going to get better by playing strong competition and a win would have greatly helped any NC case we would have down the road

now...doesnt look like any of that will be the case, and it's disappointing...im happy we pretty much have an automatic W now, and i'll take it, but there will still be a little guarded optimism

oh well...guess they'll just have to prove another week. Whether they prove it in week 1, week 4, or week whatever...i don't care as long as they win.

Exactly. And no matter who plays or not, you'll be able to tell if we fixed our offensive woes or not. It may not be against the greatest defense ever, but we struggled against mediocre defenses last year. It's amazing how LSU "fans" always find something negative in any positive thing that happens.

Two things: LSU hasn't won yet, and 2nd the remaining UNC players aren't gonna roll over and say,"alright Tigers, put it our arse"! They still gotta play the game.

If LSU loses this game it may not matter much because it will mean the offense is pretty bad. What Les needs to do is RUTS.

all you do is flame, it's quite easy to see through your posts

How is this a flame???? Its the truth. I would rather see UNC at their best.

So it doesn't matter to you that UNC has players gone??? A win is a win for you then. OK. I will call this a MAJOR break FOR LSU.

Yes, a win is a win, particularly for a team that needs to rebuild it's confidence. What's LSU supposed to do ... refuse to play the game? Maybe we should propose that no starters are allowed in the game for either team? Would that make a win by LSU more meaningful for you?

I think there are a bunch of fans on here that are upset with the UNC suspensions because they would rather see LSU lose.

I agree with this, however I am sure the LSU players would want to know they beat UNC with the best they have to offer.

This is not the case with me. I am looking at it from a standpoint of how many fans will still not be sure how good this team really is. If they somehow come out and look like they did against Wash last year aginst a depleted UNC team . I will be very concerned.

If 16 players are in fact suspended, which would include a bunch of starters, we need to win by at least 2 TDs. This game cannot be close.
