I'd prefer to play them at 100%, but now that their biggest threat is definately out, I'm hoping they suspend all these guys for one game, we blow them out, and then they go on to win the ACC.

pipedream, but I have to imagine the computers would help us out big time.

Personally, I'm not buying it yet.

Me either. I'm thinking probably 6-7 max.

If you were a UNC player would you go into that game expecting to lose?

If these rumors are true, I'd say you have a much better chance of UNC rolling over than LSU overlooking them.

This is when we'll find out per Joe Schad:

North Carolina leaves for Atlanta at 9:30 a.m. on Fri. The school may know by they which players cannot play and which held for precaution.

n.c. wins and lsu hires davis.

This has effectively ended the chances of Davis coaching at another top tier university.

If ths is true...has anyone brought up that UNC basically just became like Washington St.? And god help us if we don't wax them. Too dramatic?

It's certainly changed things here. Until the last couple of days, the line was was Pk or UNC - 1. Now LSU is favored by 4 to 5 points.

Really it doesn't hurt us if we don't wax em but still beat em. Although the rant would probably be in near meltdown mode.

DBG. .i understand what you are getting at.. the VT game in 07 set the tone for the rest of the season..

Not to look like an a-hole, but that team was obviously overranked as a reaction to one nut job going around and killing innocent students. I tailgated with some Va Tech fans, and they knew they were going to get rocked.

That would be a great argument if VT hadn't ended up in the top three at the end of the year.

They were not over rated and their beatdown is in NO way excused by the tragedy that happened on campus several months prior to the season...

I guess from a fan's perspective its slightly disappointing you won't get to see what we're made of early, but our tests will come in time.

I bet our players are disappointed as well. And that's what is kinda scary--that they wont' be as fired up. While UNC can rally around the "us against the world" card. In a strange way, I think we might actually be more likely to lose this game now. I still don't think we will, but we might have lost the psychological edge that I thought we would have. I really thought we were going to rape them at 100%.

I think only time will tell, couple of polls I saw had them at around 13/14th and LSU is supposed to be top 25 a lot of the first weekend's action is cream puff OOC so assuming (Always assuming on my part) LSU wins by 14 do the voters and computers like the victory? Do we move up and if so how many spots? My Granpa lways said you'v got no chance at a NT unless you were a top 25 team at the beginning...

Damn, that is one prolific tutor if she was writing term papers for anywhere close to 16 people. She may have a future in churning out romance novels.

At least you kept any sexual connotations out of it-now if she was taking care of 16 in that way...

By the way, in OT tradition-any pics of said tutor?

Losing their entire starting defense and there is still only a 4-5 point line? Sounds like Vegas has about as much confidence in our offense as many LSU fans do.

No one remembers week 1 in November

The majority of AP voters around the country will not watch the game. Over coffee Sunday morning they will look at the scores from the top 25 and see LSU beat a higher ranked team on the road. BUMP.

this is along the same lines as I was thinking...but i dunno it's on ABC there is bound to be talk about suspensions if LSU starts knockin' hell out of UNC...again only time will tell but it might be nice to slide nto the 13 or 15th spot based on this first performance....

I am starting not to like this.

I received my graduate degree from NC State, so as a diehard Tarheel hater, I'm eating this up. If only they could expand the investigation to the basketball program.

I'm not saying I know it for sure obviously but I mean come on 16 players. 16 players would be insane. I just don't see it. I think they sit out
4 or 5.
