No lose situation for LSU

Only reason losing tomorrow would absolutely suck for LSU is because we have A&M right after, which is always a tossup so the potential for two losses in a row would be there, and who knows how this new team would handle that.

Ole Miss legit has more to lose with a loss tomorrow night because now Playoff Pete would be backed into a smaller corner needing to prove himself more and more.

No doubt about it.

A loss tomorrow night would be disappointing. But I’m not gonna jump off the I-10 bridge over it. Sunday morning, win or lose, I’m gonna get up and go about my day.

Without question. Lsu is used to these type games over last 25 years. It is just another high ranked match up with a chance to improve playoff . We know OM is a flash in the pan. The outcome of this game defines their identity. The sad thing is those people havent had any championship success in over a half a century....none. it would be easy to pull for the fanbase to finally have championship success, IF THEY WERENT SUCH A PATHETIC CHILD LIKE FANBASE.

Its definitely a must-win for both imo... Ole Miss has to head to the Swamp next Saturday.

Idk what happens tomorrow night but I do know which coach I’d prefer to be leading my team for the foreseeable future. This will be Ole Miss last year to be relevant. They will slowly decline back to what they have historically been, mediocre .

Ole Miss claims 3 national titles (1959, 1960, 1962). But they’re not real. They’re fugazis. The accepted arbiters of who was #1 at the end of the season at the time were the AP (writers) and UPI (coaches) polls. Look up their champions for each of those years. Ole Miss/University of Mississippi is nowhere to be found. Their “championships” come from systems like Dunkel, Billingsley and Sagarin. In other words, like a lot of Bama’s claimed titles…not truly recognized.


We have ”championships” like that too…we just don’t claim them. We have 4 legitimate ones, we don’t have to.

But it isn't, if we are truly good. We have rest of hardest games at home. OM has a few very tough road games

Win or lose, they will still be runts.

I agree with the point you're making, but with LSU host another top 10 team next week and Ole Miss heading to Gainesville, the loser of this game will be facing a real chance at a 2-2 start, while the winner will very likely jump to the #2 team in the country and will have a ton of cushion to let a game or 2 slip for the rest of the year and still make the playoff.

So much on the line emotionally, for the early season, for the entirety of the season, and for Ole Miss's program as a whole. This is the Implication Bowl.
