Help me understand this logic:
If Ole Piss wins or loses, there's no guarantee of anything they're gonna do for the rest of this season and Golding is no slouch. If it's a hard-fought game, high scoring or they lose by a field goal or an overtime, they're still gonna have confidence overall, especially after poaching coaches and team, money spent considerations, etc. And don't forget, they're spending about as much on their program, as we are and will continue to do so. And if we win or lose, there's no guarantee of what we gonna do against A&M or a Tennessee team on the road. I'm hopeful, but the confident talk of their imminent demise seems hopeful at best. I keep seeing a lot of talk as if we win this game and Ole Miss just sort of goes away into oblivion. ...can't wait for game day to get here. Geaux Tigers!

I’d have to disagree. At least in the short term, an LSU loss tomorrow would result in nonstop media dunking on Lane and LSU. If Ole Miss loses, everyone will just move on.
