There is no debate. Charges have been dropped. Jennings is our QB.

It's never been about who they start. I don't care who STARTS. It's whether they're willing to make a change should things go caca for the starter. We had this discussion in another thread. The odds appear to be against this notion.

total nonsense. Perfect example: Lee starts against Alabama in Tusculousa, things go to caca for the starter, he is pulled from the game, Jefferson goes in and we win the game. Due to that move LSU plays for the NC. YOur argument is total and complete BS.

You sure about that? 1/9/12????

Mett hadn't played a snap all season so to go with him in the NC game after we got there with Lee/Jeffeson would have been a pretty bizarre move.

I agree that les needed to throw something different at Bama and I would have had a package ready for Lee.

They may have had a Lee package. He ran different plays when he was in in other games than what they ran with Jefferson. They probably saw the same thing that everyone else saw which was that Bamas defense was completely over powering our o-line and a drop back QB sitting in the pocket, especially one who wasn't the best at handling that kind of pressure, would have been made to order for bama. What would have been the point. Trying something different just because it is different doesn't make a lot of sense if it has no chance of working.

So your answer is just keep going with JJ, which CLEARLY wasn't working. No use trying to find a spark or change momentum in some way. Just settle for second place. Got it. Wonderful attitude.

your attitude of going with Lee and guaranting we get blown out is completely retarded

1 game suspension aside, Harris will not be the starter imo.

Could've created a spark. Could've given JJ time to clear his head and watch the D from the sidelines. Who knows? When your offense is that inept, you have to try something! Anything! That's what was so maddening. Had Lee at least played one series and showed equally inept, I think fans would have an easier time swallowing defeat.

Evidently neither was Mr. Jefferson. He was pathetic. Further, CLM made no effort to make any change after it was abundantly clear to everyone watching that game that the LSU offense was going nowhere.

well since going with Lee had zero chance of working , if we wanted to try something different to throw something else at them, Maybe do something like line up in the wild cat with Odell Beckham at QB. Would have caught them completely off guard as he has never played QB even in high school, had a better arm than Shepard, and was our most explosive athlete. That also would have had zero chance of working but would have been interesting. Or we could have lined our o-linemen up in the backfield and put our skill position players on the o-line just to change things up on them. Could have run the wishbone or wing tee, had the punter play RB, lots of things we could have done different if we just wanted to do something different to be different if that's the argument you are making.

Chilge: if you're honesty arguing that we had a shot of coming back on 1/9/12 with JJ still at QB, then there's no hope for you.

One of the most horrific offensive performances, perhaps in LSU history, with a NC on the line, and you're arguing to just keep plodding along with no change??? Good god, man!!

And you think Lee, who never had a good game against Bama, would have done ANYTHING??? That was the best, or tied with the best defense this century in college football, on revenge mode. We had ZERO run game and piss poor pass blocking.

3 of Lee's 4 games against Bama he had below 43%, below 5.4 ypa, and 7 ints (and he only played one whole game!). Lee has had one good pass against them in four years. Lee had a major tendency to throw off his back foot and collapse in big defensive games.

Lee was good for what he was that year, a game manager. He couldn't put the team on his back, and especially against top defenses. If you think it was worth it to put him in the Bama game, when even Jefferson was getting hammered by the defense, then you really didnt have his best interests in mind.

The selective memory of the LSU fan base is baffling

BEGIN???? There has never been a question IMO... I have said all along that if AJ was available, He would start game one.. I don't care how well Harris looks... Miles will take the experience factor over anything else....

I think what people should be really upset about is here we are three years later having the same damn debate. Are we really do bad at recruiting quarterbacks that we can't find anyone to come in and own the position?

Uh, it was the national championship game. Lose by 1 or lose by 20, it's the same.

And oh by the way, we DID get "blown out" with JJ at QB the whole game, 21-0.

Why people continue with this BS is beyond me. There is example after example of Miles not starting the most experienced player. Just with these 2 guys, Miles has already started Harris and benched Jennings.

I swear, the more I read the Rant, the more I wonder what LSU football team some are following.

Lee had a bad game against Bama, I fully acknowledge that. But he had a good year otherwise.

And on 1/9/12, JJ clearly wasn't getting it done. We needed to try something (anything!) to generate a spark. Bringing in Lee was the thing to do. Would it have worked? Maybe not, but we should've trie

Mother fcking frick! It was more than five years ago. Please stop fighting about this shite on this board.
