If alabamas only lose is to lsu doesn't that mean Alabama goes to the sec championship considering lsu would have two sec loses? What's more likely lsu winning out or bama losing two games in a down sec? Neither will happen.

If the Lord himself came down and offered you that scenario, you better take it and be happy.

If LSU beats both Bama and a Georgia team that doesn't lose in the SEC champ they have to get in over Bama.

It really would help for UGA to not lose any games moving forward IMO. That would be an insane resume.. regardless of early losses.

If LSU wins out they only have one SEC loss (State), and would have the tie-breaker (head to head) over one loss Bama.

LSU would only have 1 SEC loss and the H2H. LSU would be a top the West.

Another scenario......

LSU wins out and beats Georgia in sec championship game

Alabama's only loss is LSU

Georgia's only loss is LSU

Who does CFP committee pick?

Know it's crazy scenario but if so would be interesting

They aren’t taking a team that lost to Troy over a one loss Bama.

The 30 point loss to miss st killed any possibility of a CFP appearance. The troy loss nailed the coffin shut.

Troy is not in the SEC...although according to many, they should be.

Does CFP take one loss Bama over two loss, SEC champ LSU?

Every day of the week. If the roles were reversed, Bama would still get the nod. It pays to be Bama and not lose to Troy or get blown out by Miss State.

It depends how you look down the stretch

They will roll with a 2 loss Sec Champ who beat both undefeated SEC teams regardless of early season struggles

It’s easy to say no bc of early losses to crap teams but that would be some serious improvement

It would be unreal to do so and would make for fun conversations

Any ways I’ll just be glad to beat Ole Miss this week

Like others have stated, just look at PSU and OSU last year. PSU won head to head and only had 1 bad loss on the season, won the B1G championship and still got passed over by OSU. No doubt at all that Bama gets the nod over a 2 loss LSU SEC Champ - and to be honest Bama would deserve the playoff more than LSU in that scenario, you cant get trounced by a 5-6 win MSU and lose at HOME to a Troy and be considered for the NC. At least not in my humble opinion.

Really to me the bigger question would be does the committee take a 1 loss Bama over a 1 loss UGA? UGA would win the East and at least play in the SECC game and have lost to the same LSU team but at a supposedly "neutral site" and Bama would have been beaten by LSU at home so although Bama would likely get the nod over UGA just because, well their Bama they really shouldnt. In that scenario I think UGA would be the more deserving team JMO

LSU isn’t beating Bama, so save your brain from trying to figure out stuff that won’t happen

Hypothetically, If Bama and GA are both number one when LSU plays them (and wins) it will be verrrrry hard for them not to put us in. Penn State didn't have wins over two top ranked teams last year( and beating bama is more impressive in the eyes of the committee than Ohio St) Only way I see it happening. Geaux Dawgs lol
