Yes, because LSU had so much success prior to Saban.

He deserves slot of credit for players staying in the state. Changed the ack of depth in LSU football. No hate here. The program continues, from the foundation of a good bass. Saban screwed himself, as I see it,he could have had more.

What is this, a total eclipse of The Hat? Miles > Saban.

Dude, he has not been here for 7 years. You see programs fall apart in less than 2, why do these people keep posting the Saban built LSU. That is for the delusional. This Miles's program, his talent, his coaches and has been for over 4 years.

I appreciate what he did for LSU, but that doesn't mean I have to like him.

How much success did Saban have before he came to LSU? Had you ever even heard of him? LSU's potential brought out Tricky's potential and to think otherwise is delusional.

Saban got handed a pool of talent unlike any other at what had already been established as the only game in town.

And he did a heckuva a job. But this silliness that LSU had never won anything and "Nick had to build LSU from scratch" idiocy like Terry Saban says is crazy. And for "anyone could win with Saban's talent !" well why did Michigan State turn into crap right after he left? Monday was their first bowl win since that flunky Nickie drags around with him Bobby Williams won the prestigious "Silicon Valley Bowl" in 2001.

The main reason Dinardo was run off, was because he refused to fire his defensive co-ordinator,..Tip or something like that,...prevent defense...it was turrible...never heard of Saban when he was hired..he sure wasn't as prominent as he was when he left LSU...

Quite a bit actually. He had Mich state playing great ball and left the cuboard pretty full. Plus he was good at the NFL level as an asst. Yes I did hear of him and he was a great Hire for LSU and did great things while he was here. But he has been gone for 7 years and he is a distant memory now AND COACHES the enemy. However there are only TWO coaches I want coaching LSU. Miles or Saban.

Sorry if Germans but this article should give all Some perspective. I love CLM but we would be fools to not appreciate the foundation that NS set for LSU football.

Some can stillllllllllll not get over NS.

NS has not had one freaking thing to do with the current LSU 13-0 record other to crap out against LSU AT Bama.

I thank NS for his effort at LSU almost 8 yrs ago, but some need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Well surely LSU hired him for a reason. And he had quite a bit of success at Mich St actually. Led them to their first New Year's Day bowl in ages his final year there.
