I’ve seen more retarded bullshite on page 1 of this thread than entire mega-threads before. Were some of you idiots even alive when Nick was at LSU?

Yea, he went to our SEC biggest rival and made them a powerhouse for 17 years. He could have taken a different job other than BAMA if he was tired of NFL.

I’ve never seen Paul Dietzel’s name in that stadium next to Billy Cannon’s.

This is pretty much the correct answer.
It’s also worth pointing out that Dietzel didn’t wind up at our rival after two years.

Dietzel actually did return to LSU as Athletic Director from 78-82, and eventually retired in Baton Rouge.

Hell no. He might get his name in the walk of honor or something but that’s about it.

Nah, but he should be invited to the next reunion for the 2003 team, whether that be 25 or 30. Assuming he in good health.

Got it, quit talking about the things you want to forget about. Or, maybe you are proud of that period of cowardice.

Never. I’ll always be glad for the foundation he laid and for 2003, but he went to Alabama and competed against us for years. His success often came at our expense. We can and should honor the 2003 team, and maybe have him back for a 25th or 30th anniversary if he wants to come, but that’s it. Maybe not even that. I don’t know. We’ll see.

So we've got 4 statues; Paul, Nicky, Les & Orgeron. 3 of them look like familiar statues, except O is shirtless and next to Little Nicky taking a piss on his leg.

I'll approve...
