Scott needs to make a call to Buzz Williams. A&M will never be a power in basketball and has no tradition or history. At least LSU has been to Final Fours and has some of the greatest players in basketball history. Scott could sell him on LSU being a sleeping giant.

Beard, Wade, or Bucky McMillan.

A month ago I thought there was a riff between mick Cronin and UCLA but that looks to be soothed over.

Bummer. Would have been an A+ target

FYI, I live in Houston and have heard many times over the last couple years that Kelvin Sampson is set to retire soon and pass the thrown to his son. UH Basketball is a family business for the Sampsons.

could the allure of playing in the best conference along with a massive contact convince him?

Well, it wouldn't be the allure of the LSU fan base. Why??? Because he'd have to rebuild everything with probably VERY LIMITED NIL funds and after year one this place would trash him for being a shite HC.

Honestly shut the frick up. It would be a good hire and bring back excitement.

I mean what are we going to keep the worst LSU basketball coach I school history for another year. This shite is deplorable.

Found the poster that believes WW is the next HC at LSU. Lucky for WW's dumbass that NIL can keep him from getting caught on a federal wire tap.

Not saying that he will come back, but he’s the one hire that basically guarantees the PMAC will have asses in seats from day one.

Absolutely not. Buzz is a very good coach but his teams always have a low ceiling IMO.

My original choice back when Loomis (Alleva) hired Trent Johnson.

Tony Bennett.

After a year off to rest and recuperate, LSU plucks TB out of retirement. (Watch the contract SW. Not too many years and no ridiculous wretched excess buy out)

Bennett, like Jay Wright, has zero desire to be a HC in this era of college sports. He explicitly said that’s why he retired on the eve of the season. Bennett’s model doesn’t work in this era and he knows it.

MM probably back next season

I don't think so. He's created so much ill will this season until I can envision the team voluntarily suspending play for a season or two before bringing him back to coach

Buzz is an excellent coach with the very opposite personality of CMM. Buzz gets it in game

Well once again Mcloser has done it, now his team is getting dominated and beaten by 20 pts to the lower half of the SEC. Like I said before Mcloser has destroyed the men's basketball program at LSU,has for a new coach they need go after either Colhoon from Utah ST,or Pitino from New Mexico, Shaka Smart Marquette,Bennett at ST Mary's,Donavan Chicago Bulls, and I wouldn't rule out Buzz Williams at Texas A&M,maybe his teams have a low ceiling but since he got to A&M there in the tournament almost every year and there in the top half of the SEC. And of course take a look at Will Wade, and just a side note judging by tonight's game LSU MB is now half way through the league and Mclosers team has already quit on him, he has destroyed the program and is headed for 1-17 If Woody has any sack he will fire him at the end of the season, and bring in a WINNING COACH!
