FYI, I live in Houston and have heard many times over the last couple years that Kelvin Sampson is set to retire soon and pass the thrown to his son. UH Basketball is a family business for the Sampsons.

How old is the brother? I'm assuming he's a ball player too Looks like he's got good size already.
Of course he has the arm strength but what I was impressed with is placement of the ball that allows his receivers to continue and not break stride and that's very important. And the second is his ability to step up in the pocket and either deliver the check down or run the ball which his running is better than i remember it being.

He wouldn't crack ours either this year but that doesn't mean we won't need him in the future. We recruited him originally. It's not like we're overflowing with quality future OTs

I'm from Houston and what I'm hearing is it was both he and Holgorsen agreeing redshirting would be best for D'Eric. They think he'll have a better team around him next year, which he should.

Long time reader of the Rant , first time posting so go easy.
My thought is if we miss on the DL guys we really want and need then why just sign project guys when we can just sign more next year since the 2020 class should be heavy on DL. I understand we need more depth but I'd rather do like Bama did this year and sign 7-9 guys next year.
