I really don’t like the idea of the SECCG being played in Texas.

Sure it may eventually happen, but I don’t like it.

Alternating between ATL and NOLA we be a good idea though.

Atlanta and Dallas. Superdome is a dump.

how often do you see that being an issue?

More often than Oxford, MS.

What’s the tiebreaker when both teams have the same SEC & Regular season records? Obviously H2H but then what? Highest ranked in the CFP or Coaches Poll?

I think it should rotate from Atlanta, New Orleans, Dallas & Houston

Boy will this feel odd when Fla / UGA / Bama(?) have to play OU / UT in Dallas in front of ~80% Sooner / Horn fans, the BIG 12 team wins and the SEC school is left out of the playoffs. The Sugar Bowl already matches Big 12 vs SEC. I kinda see them doing away with the championship game and letting our teams go straight to bowls and playoffs.

Because they don’t have the infrastructure to physically hold a game of that magnitude

Once we move to a 12T playoff, conference CGs will go away IMO

Because you putting on an event, not just a game. There’s sec legends, pregame festivities with bands etc. plus there’s no easy way to get to Starkville or Columbia. There’s not enough hotels, convention center, restaurants. Then parking, suites/premium seating pressbox. I don’t think you comprehend the magnitude of that game.
Your talking press from all over the country.
Much different than state vs Kentucky on a random Saturday

More importantly, the SEC headquarters should be moved out of Birmingham. Pensacola, Nashville, Memphis or New Orleans would all be better locations.

New Orleans is the correct answer.

The sec championship is an event. The reason it’s been in Atlanta is it’s a major hub, with plenty of hotels, convention center, domes stadium, and major airport that’s accessible from anywhere in the us.
You can’t play the game in Columbia, Missouri or Starkville, Mississippi. That couldn’t support the influx.

don't know why this is getting downvoted - it's entirely correct.
Not only is it correct, but Atlanta puts on a great show for both the SECCG and the Peach Bowl.

If you haven't been to either, you should do yourself a favor and put it on your bucket list.

Get out of here with that logic. That’s far too easy and straightforward.
