Per PM after the game, they hope he can return by the SEC tourney.

Sounds like he had a set back. Not very good news...

This is going to end with TJ, isn't it?

He and Marceaux both seem to be headed down that path.

Which is a bummer because they'll likely miss all of next season in addition to basically being non-factors due to arm soreness this year.

Well shite. If Broski is right I hope they do it as soon as possible. Hate for them to have that setback before their careers even get going

James Moran Twitter

Some injury updates from Paul Mainieri:

- Brock Mathis is fine. He chose to catch Saul Garza today.
- Gavin Dugas is on track to return next weekend. Paul didn’t even rule out him doing something in the midweek
- Nick Storz is throwing bullpen sessions, but no timeline
#LSU

Also: Paul said that Jaden Hill “is not close” to returning. Sounds like some kind of setback or just a general lack of progress

I didn’t see the part about the SEC Tourney
That really sucks

I wonder if they now regret not taking the money. It’s a fine line with these athletes and the fragility of their careers . I hope it’s not TJ for either.

Rehab from TJ takes well over a year before they are ready to pitch in a game. Just like Walker missing all of last year.

Do we know it’s even tommy John? Would think they’d have gotten the surgery months ago if that were the case

It's not like there arent imaging technologies that can detect that type of damage. If that's the problem, why even try to get them back this season? Just get it done so they can start the recovery process sooner.
