Maybe they need to stop all of this "travel ball" shite (I'm referring to most pitchers) it's too much, by the time they get to college it's been overtaxed mostly elbow.
It was sad to see the Flordia pitcher come out of the game today holding his elbow (Singer) hope the kid is OK.

Nope, it was Tyler Dyson.

Is there any possibility that this is technique related and Dunn is to blame? Seems like this has been happening every year recently.

IIRC in the game that Hill pitched they were talking about how good his curve ball is on the broadcast and said that it was a pitch he just learned in preseason workouts. If that's the case then it sounds like he was actually very careful throughout his childhood and never threw curve balls until he got to LSU. Also that means this is probably an elbow issue

The one where they taught him the new pitch, combo slider/curve and had him throw it over and over for a month. Read the post above yours. I dont have any desire to argue on Easter but like I told yall before, its facts.

This is a national problem. Not just LSU. Travel Ball looks to be the culprit. Kids are throwing 2 to 3 times as many pitches a year as they used to 20 years ago in a lot of cases.

But here's the thing about the pitch limits -- they don't apply to travel programs operating outside the most common organized leagues, and they don't apply from league to league if a player is on multiple teams in different organizations, and they don't count any off-day throwing or private coaching that is done outside the auspices of the regulating organization. The American Sports Medicine Institute, in its guidelines for youth pitches, recommends at least two or three months (preferably four) without overheard throwing per year, and four months without pitching in competitive baseball, in order to let young arms rest. However, it's no sure thing that ambitious young pitchers (and their ambitious parents) will follow those guidelines.

Probably best for the kid's sake to just call it a season let him heal. No need to risk further injury.

How many did they make him throw a day?
Posted on 4/21/19 at 8:06 am to josh336

How many of this new pitch did they ask him to throw each day?

you are just trolling at this point. not my fault if you dont keep up with the team enough to know that the coaches said on live broadcast during one of his games that he was taught that pitch and throwing it at practice.
go to church
ETA: they were bragging about it before it made his arm fall off.

quote:bragging about what? They said he was taught a new pitch since all he threw coming in was a fastball. They said nothing about these intensive workouts that you claim tore his arm up. I get that you’re just going to talk out of your arse but Jesus wouldn’t be happy with you baw.

Unfortunately for you, I do watch all the games and thus know you are full of shite. Imagine having the gall to make up this shite in Easter and then tell other posters to go to church. What a clown.

Im asking a legitimate question that you cant seem to answer. And you dont control me, so im not going to church. Pretty narrow minded of you to believe i go to church.
If you dont know the answer to the question i asked (you dont) how can you claim to know ehat happened to jadens arm? Are we to believe that dunn trained these pitchers the right way for years and then all of a sudden changed his program within the last year?
