Very much a nepo hire. Especially considering they probably got some legit candidates with over 40 applicants.

We got the Governor hand picking a crony to be the PA announcer in Tiger Stadium. What a fricking time to be alive.

He also has authored some of the worst bills filed in the legislature, and has a real knack for making uninformed statements in hearings. Guy strikes me as pretty dumb, even for a legislator… which I guess is kind of remarkable.

I know nothing about this Dixon character (seems like he sucks as a person), but Bill is pretty long in the tooth. I would prefer we get someone who has 30 years in front of them. Continuity for the PA announcer over multiple decades is awesome.
That said, maybe we should've picked a non-douche bag 30 something
Again though, if his voice is great for it and he says the right things at the right times, I don't care much about him personally.
