Maybe a white helmet, but overall these are solid.

If I am Mississippi State, I wear purple and gold alternate uniforms with LSU-gold helmets to confuse the LSU players during live action. What's to keep them from doing this?

I love the idea of honoring the Silent Season. I'll reserve judgement on the helmets until I see them in action but so far I'm not crazy about them. I do think the oak pattern is pretty cool. I think old-style numbers would have been better too.

Not bad at all.............. I still think the AU game jerseys in 2011 were the best when wearing all white...........

I've looked at just about every picture and I still can't tell if the non-purple that the helmet changes to is more "old gold" or the sunburst gold (dare I say yellow) of our usual helmet. Guess I'll have to wait and see.
I'm hopeful we win for a bunch of reasons but one is if we lose purple helmets will go the way of purple pants after Kentucky...

It's hard to tell. It looks like metal-flake yellow to me. Darker than our regular ones but not quite old gold.

Disgusting, don't mess with the traditional uniforms. I know it's being disguised as honoring 1918, bulls**t. LSU honors all sorts of things and causes at games without star wars uniforms.

I'll withhold judgement until I see them on the field. I do have to admit though that the helmet color change has me intrigued.
