Neither one would have to be recused of anything. That’s all Murrel did was file an amicus curiae brief, a “friend of the court “ brief which is when a non party wants to chime in and have their argument heard.

If this stays in Louisiana and doesn't get to outside fed court, there is no way that LSU is screwed in the long run. I dont care what the case law says- the first circuit and LASC are not going to rule in a way that totally f's the state's flagship university of which many of them are alums/fans.
The only federal court this case could go to would be SCOTUS, and they choose what they hear. They wouldn’t touch this bullshite in a million years.
For this issue to go to federal court, one of the parties would have to files a new suit there.

It's outrageous, egregious and preposterous for the SEC to hire this guy.
I bet his personal MD is Dr.Byson and his secretary is named Susie too.

You"be got to be kidding me. The DA who barely escaped going to prison after his indictment for tax fraud because his partner and everyone around him was dumb enough to do his dirty work and end up in prison? And the odds of that idiot not being involved in the independent grand jury indicting Louisiana's AG are probably between slim and none. We all saw how well that turned out. Anyone with an ounce of brain matter knew it was a farce. He's as shady as they come, so this is a good fit for Sankey.
Williams was failing to bring charges against juvenile criminals/carjackers and then him and and his elderly mother got carjacked. Can't make this stuff up.

Does this just mean he's working as a Louisiana licensed atty and they're bringing their own guys as well? I would imagine that the sec guys would have licensure or reciprocity in every state the sec works in. And I thought SEC attorneys were supposed to be basically the dream team, why are they recruiting this clown if that's the case?

What? I can't tell if you are that unplugged or...I have no other explanation.
Honestly, if you've been living in a metaphorical cave for several years I'm jealous.

One of the plantiffs' attorneys is Tony Clayton. Clayton is presently the DA of WBR Parish. What metaphorical cave is your primary residence?

Damn. In Mississippi, a DA has to give up his private cases within six months and is barred from taking new ones.

Strange that a criminal prosecutor would be involved in a civil case. Is this verified or is this some sort of bullshir?
Posted on 9/3/26 at 8:00 am to tigerskin
Tony Clayton is gonna drag him all over the court room. Should be fun.

I hope he's taking vacation time for when he's not doing actual DA work.
