New Orleans Bar Raises Age Requirement After Sunday Brawl

Patrons that visted Bayou Beer Garden were greeted with a multiple person brawl during the Saints-Raiders game this past Sunday. LINK
New Requirements:
“30+ all day — valid physical ID required”
“This Sunday, due to no game and weather forecast, we will be closing for 6 pm.”

I wouldn't expect this at the Bayou Beer Garden. I have been there a bunch of times and it has always been fairly calm.

I used to go to their trivia night on Tuesdays. It was a cool place.
I heard a security guy there was shot a while after that.

Read the article, they are trying to do some damage control because they say that isn't their image at all and in different words they said that's not the crowd they attract and they were unprepared for a situation like that.

It’s always been a great place most of the time.
Part of the issue is a place near them has become very popular with the cockroaches and they spill over to BBG.

That’s a shame. Took a look at the customer photos on google reviews and it looks like a nice little spot with mostly normal clientele. Sorry this happened to them.

10 years on a Saints Sunday it ago it would’ve been filled with yuppies and older well off neighborhood folk. Times have changed I guess
