re: New LSU series “The Money Game”, starring Livvy Dunne, JD5, Angel Reese, Flaujae

I hate the game, but we better be the best at playing it.

We aren't Harvard or Yale or MIT. As a university we don't have multi-billion dollar endowments or an ideal academic reputation.

We are a state school that kicks arse at sports. That's our rep. That's our brand. And that does matter. There are a lot of schools that would happily trade strengths and weaknesses with us.

We need to lean into that strength. That's why I like to see ideas like this go national.

Hint it hasn’t been the players who sold out to the tv networks, who killed conferences, who pumped up salaries, and who ruined a lot of the traditions we grew to appreciate.

It’s just a documentary for the 23-24 year. Just missed Skenes and Crews….just shows how successful we are at building brands

Anyone with a problem with these athletes is dumb. They're examples of how NIL should be. Livvy and Flaujae built brands before getting here. Angel and Jayden weren't big NIL athletes then built their brands here through their play.

Fans like you are the worst. You'll probably watch every game, probably complain when we lose out on recruits, probably want coaches fired..... But you'll never miss the opportunity to tell us how much you hate CFB now.

You "couldn't care less," as you say but yet you are still on a message board for LSU. I couldn't care less about soccer, but you won't find me posting on the soccer board, or jumping into threads to tell them how much I don't care about it.

I think we can all agree that players deserved to be compensated at least at the levels at which they are currently being compensated. I don't think player compensation is destroying college sports. I think player compensation is good.

I think we can all also agree that a completely open transfer portal is a bad idea. If it was a good idea, every sport would have it. I don't think the transfer portal is destroying college sports, but I don't like it.
