that's not what he is saying at all. That was sabotaging the offense. What he is saying is that the coach shouldn't sabotage his players by putting them in positions where they can't be successful. For example, running dive plays into stacked d-lines. Plays are overrated but they have to at least give your players a chance to be successfull, then it is up to the players to win the games

Well that is undoubtedly out of context because standalone it makes ABSOLUTELY no sense coming from an OC or any Offensive Coach.

LF vs ALA: He could not win with the Plays LSU called. He was knocked out of the 2014 game by Collins and Foster and he was shut down all 3 yrs vs ALA and that sends a powerful message to Boosters, Recruits, Fans, & the BOS.

Also, I can think of Saban's amazing Fat Guy play with the RT flexed out as a TE, his fake punt on 4th down, and his onside kick/pass to Cyrus Jones to get that one critical extra possesion vs Clem in CFPNC game.
