You couldn't be more wrong. The band is not going to play any song that elicits a STTDB chant from the student section.
The Wisconsin cheer and whatever else someone mentioned on page 1 are not in unison with a song that the school band plays. I don't know why some of you are so dense that you can't figure out that a university can not put itself in a spot to where it looks like they are endorsing or encouraging the vulgarities.

People were chanting STTDB in the east upper. So, it isn't just the students. There was a 60-something year old woman chanting it near me. Drunk people at an emotional game will do irrational emotional stuff. I think most don't really mind the STTDB chant; all this wringing of hand seems to be coming from the old and ultra uptight.

So by this logic, if the students do it to any and every song even if not in unison, then the band shouldn't Be allowed to play any songs at all right? Talk about dense.

I don't think that's necessarily the case. I think it's just an argument between those who have an opinion as to what kind of image it portrays for the school/fanbase and those who simply don't care what kind of image it portrays.
Whether it personally offends you or not, it ABSOLUTELY makes the university and students appear classless and trashy. The only matter is that some care about that and some don't. Neither side is necessarily right or wrong in their view. But I can understand why the university would take steps to prevent an occurrence they feel disparages their public image.

The same guys starting the STTDB chants are the same guys that are hammered screaming "LETS GO TO F--ING BOGIES!" in the 4th quarter. At least the guy next to me was.

Yes, I don't get this. It's way worse, for many reasons.
I sit in the SW end zone and I couldn't even understand what they were saying (STTDB). I figure they're worried about it being heard on national TV but is it even that loud?

As a 1983 LSU grad and current resident of the south end zone, I will do my part to keep this from happening. I will attempt to start a SSTDB chant every time I hear piped in music. In all seriousness, I compliment the stadium people for minimizing the piped in crap during the Auburn game.
