Thousands of LSU fans want to watch the game. You should ask yourself why high schools can stream their games but SELA can’t.
My grandson’s 8 year old games are televised without issue. Lol at SLU.

Agreed... either come to BR, or no game! LSU does not need to play this midweek games at the smaller stadiums of the Louisiana schools, including Tulane and UNO!

It was the biggest crowd this year by far. Hammond has a ton of LSU alumni. It’s a forty minute bus ride. Lots of folks got to see the number 1 team in the nation, in person. It was surprising to see how big that young man named Jones is. It was also surprising how short our coach is. These things don’t come across on tv or radio. Of course these things don’t matter but it was interesting to a casual fan like me. I appreciated the Tigers being willing to do it.

No, home team broadcast to ESPN+. So that means SLU can't get their stream working. Trust me I'm in IT at Nicholls State, I know how the streaming of these games work.
Another hack at Southeastern shutting down the internet connections?
LSU and ESPN should have some redundancies that can take their broadcasts using a single cellular or bonded cellular connections.
I know that these work since I use these connections for video often enough.

Probably something like the ESPN remote play-by-play man’s internet is out.

Probably the same hack, they had to shut down the entire system for a few weeks. I am sure the streaming server/s are low priority when you have to get all the student systems up and running.

I am wondering if we could possibly seek liquidated damages. No telling the amount of viewership revenue we lost last night.. not to mention the wasted time and money for the broadcast team. We have to play hardball with them. Only way to stop this from happening in the future.

We didn't lose any. We have nothing to do with the Southland Conference's contract to stream games on ESPN+.

Fair enough. I was just commenting about espn and network tv.
Why couldn’t LSU send a crew and stream it?

ESPN absolutely could if they really wanted to

From my experience in internet streaming video, depending on the equipment used, the only equipment that would be needed on site would be video mixer. Those can be computer based or appliance based. That device or computer then would stream the video production back to ESPN’s servers in the cloud.
Heck even a simple video switcher with a SIM slot for cellular backup would cost about 1300 with 4 camera inputs. I am pretty sure LSU or Southeastern could spring for one in an emergency as a backup. That is how cheap they are getting and why even some high schools have started doing their own feeds.
