Don’t forget that they stomped on the eye in center field to begin their first game back at Tiger Stadium. I was seething in the stands.

Yeah, it was a sight to be seen. Virtually empty stadium by that time.

One of many incidents that caused bad blood with Tuberville.

Then in 2001, 9/11 caused week 3 to be moved to the end of the season. The season played out so the FU-Tennessee winner would win the East and the Geaux Tigers-fAUx Tigers game determined the West. Before the game the warchickens danced on the midfield logo and got a 15 yard penalty. Saban did a surprise onside kick.

Then at halftime their kicker wouldn't get out of the way of the Tiger band when it was leaving the field. They just shoved the idiot out of the way.

Can't be emphasized too much...The 2001 revenge game clinched LSU's first appearance in the SEC Championship Game which was huge. At the time everyone in the West except LSU and Ole Miss (still today) had made it, and it was hard to even consider LSU a good program until they crossed that barrier.

I was there at that game and when they came out and started to stomp on the Eye of the Tiger , Tiger band was lining up to go on the field ,Tiger band went NUTs and started hitting the Auburn players with their instruments ! The officials threw a pregame penalty for their conduct. The Tigers got the news in the locker room and preceded to kick their arse!

I was there. Hot as balls as usual. Ronny Daniels lit out asses up. Rohan sucked and got pulled for Booty. I took the fold out poster from the program and made a “will coach for food sign”. Got a lot of freebies from the folks outside and my name in the Baton Rouge Advocate sports section. Not a fun weekend.

No, we didn't, at least not my group of friends. We were all students at LSU in the 80s and it is true we didn't hate Alabama as much then as we do since the midget tyrant took over at Bama.

LSU was 3-5 vs Auburn in the 90s with 1 win in TS
LSU was 2-8 vs Bama with 0 wins in TS

Didn't they jump up and down on the eye of the Tiger the next time back and were beat significantly for that stunt? How can a state be so stupid to elect Tommy Tuberville to any public office; let alone a U.S. Senator.

Yes. And at least two, maybe three referees were standing right by our logo seemingly trying to tell them not to do so. Once they jumped up the firs time, the flags were thrown.

Did you see the big sissy he ran against, Doug Jones? A wino under an overpass would be better than Doug Jones.

by the 4th quarter there couldn't have been 15,000 left

My father & I were among those 15,000.

I remember because that was the last game my father was ever able to attend.
