What’s the significance of this game for younger tiger fans?

I won't go too deep into the weeds, but a bad Auburn team came into Tiger Stadium and beat an even worse LSU team, 41-7. Auburn led 24-0 in almost no time. It was a disaster. Weird kickoff time at 3 or something and by the 4th quarter there couldn't have been 15,000 left.

Then taking a page from the Tennessee-Alabama series a bunch of Auburn guys came back on the field and smoked cigars.

If I’m not mistaken, that was Rohan’s first start. DiNardo really threw him under the bus with that start imo. This game also started 8 consecutive losses until DiNardo was fired and Rohan got his revenge against Arkansas last game of the season.

And Tuberville and Co. took the opportunity to be as classless as we know them to be.
Will never forget the stomping on the Tiger Eye, the cigars etc.

One of many incidents that caused bad blood with Tuberville.

Then in 2001, 9/11 caused week 3 to be moved to the end of the season. The season played out so the FU-Tennessee winner would win the East and the Geaux Tigers-fAUx Tigers game determined the West. Before the game the warchickens danced on the midfield logo and got a 15 yard penalty. Saban did a surprise onside kick.

Then at halftime their kicker wouldn't get out of the way of the Tiger band when it was leaving the field. They just shoved the idiot out of the way.

That was going on right in front of me.
I was also there for the revenge game two years later when our tuba player knocked the crap out of Auburn's field goal kicker and the whole stadium was smoking cigars at the end. I went home smelling like cigar smoke.

I don’t know why that person started that thread as the Tennessee game occurred on 10/2/2010 not on this date in 2010
