We really only play 8 games, 9 if you count Syracuse. So, what you're saying is that 4-4 in the SEC is not a negative outcome for this team. I disagree because I think this team is too talented just to go .500, even in the rugged SEC.

Last year is always nothing but a data point that has to be taken into context. No one predicted 2011 would turn out like it did based on the 2010 team. The fatal mistake, which I correctly pointed out back then, was assuming that the defense wouldn't be near as good due to the losses of PP7, Kelvin and Nevis.

So I'm not sure how you avoid that. We assume this year's back field (offense and defense) will be what carries each side of the ball (no pun intended). Does that mean it WILL happen. Of course not. This post was edited on 8/21/15 at 10:01 am
