When you combine the quality language during neck with the over abundance of liquor the rest of the time, it sucks for bringing kids. Take a look around the stadium and tell me attendance isn't down (I know this is for many reasons but this is one).

I love neck, the beat is invigorating. It gets the crowd fired up.
It’s hard for me to understand how people do not see how trashy and low class it makes LSU look to other fans when vulgarities are chanted during neck, mostly by our students. Or maybe they do see it and just don’t care what the national image is for LSU.
I care. I don’t think of myself as a prude and dont freak out if my wife or kids hear a bad word now and then. But thousands of students chanting vulgarities? It continues to surprise me how many people don’t see how classless that cheer makes us all look.
It’s a circular debate on here. This thread will scroll off and in a few months another neck thread will start where we all repeat the same arguments.
